“OBG built a garden annex for me. From planning to building, everyone was very friendly, helpful, and patient. The longest part of the process was the paperwork - getting planning permission and a building warrant. But once the groundwork and construction started, it was up within a couple weeks! They've used good quality material and the place looks great. I like that there were different options for different budgets - for example, it was easier for me to install an IKEA kitchen myself, but they also offer to do the kitchen for you. Highly recommend!”

“We have had OBG do us a new garage..large garden extension housing kitchen,bedroom and wet room..and decking and patio areas in garden. The size of our project had many issues but all of them dealt with quickly and professionally....the tradesmen in all the various teams were very capable and friendly....Charlene and Amy kept us up to speed at every stage so we never had any doubts as to who ,what and where and when the next stage was happening. For a cost affective solution to your building ot landscaping needs look no further than OBG.....fabUlous”

“We had been estimated up to 6 weeks for our build, which was an extension for a new kitchen. All in all our build was done and the kitchen was in and functioning within 4 weeks!! The guys from OBG were amazing from the builders/joiners/painters and plumbers and even the guys who ensured all of the rubbish was picked up and the garden was left tidy. Special thanks to Charlene who without a doubt kept everything on track and kept us fully informed of the process/timelines and absolutely fitted into our schedule, thank you! you deserve a medal.”

“If Carlsberg did gardens rooms….. this would be it ! Absolutely love my new garden room from OBG ! Simply stunning !!! The service overall from OBG was amazing from start to finish, from the thought provoking design ideas ( and banter ) from Stuart to Charlene keeping us up to date / informed of progress etc ! Was there some snagging, yes and to be expected. Was is sorted, yes extremely quickly and to our satisfaction ! The picture just don’t do it justice, but have a look for yourself ….., Stunning addition to my home, love love love it !!! Would 150% recommend OBG !!!! Thank you for my stunning new room 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻”

“From the first phone call, through to completion and the occasional snagging issue I can honestly say I have been delighted. We created a very large extension for our kitchen at the back of the house and the process was made simple for every part of it. I felt reassured that I wasn't asked to pay everything upfront and I was involved in every part of the process by those on the ground from the groundsmen and bricklayer to the joiners, decorators and roofers! Any time I had a query or a concern Charlene was at the end of the phone or e-mail. She always had an answer or got back to me with one as soon as possible. As for aftercare, there were only a couple of small issues (not bad for the size of the build) and Charlene was all over them right away. If Charlene wasn't available, Amy was there and was great also, but anyone who answered the phone was always helpful. It's the first time I've ever done a project as big as this and I was very nervous as this was years and years of saving and planning, but, as I sit here typing this in my new kitchen, I can honestly say it was worth it and OBG made it simple and reassuring.”

“We purchased a full outdoor building which is 10/10 and then asked for our whole garden to be fully landscaped... this is where everything went downhill. The job was a total mess from start to finish with an utter cowboy on the job. 2 years later my garden is an utter state. The slabs are all uneven. The decking is lifting. The artificial grass is all lumpy I cant afford to pay anyone to fix this mess and im left with an awful awful garden. Every single day i go outside it makes me so upset. The garden alone cost 14k and its honestly such a mess.”

“Customer service is shockingly bad!!! I've spent a lot of money with Outdoor Building Group. I had one small problem that should have been easily fixed, over a year later with many phone calls and emails later the problem is still not resolved. N.B. Please keep ALL paperwork and on handover day if something is not quite right, take lots of photos and get them to write down what they are going to do about it. Check all appliances are in full working order before they leave and if not, get them to replace the whole item, NOT say they will get a spare part. 13 months later I'm still waiting for a spare part!”

Hi Susan & readers of this review We built Susan's garden room & as with all jobs we have a handover process which includes walking around the job which was completed on 26/6 with no note of cracked heater. On 4/7 client contacted our office to ask about blinds for her garden room again no note about a crack leg heater. On 6/7 Susan then emailed about a cracked leg on her heater. We contacted the 3rd party heater manufacturer to request a new leg to which they rejected due to the unknown circumstance of who damaged the leg. After 1 year the client called again but we don’t use this supplier anymore as they have stopped selling electric heaters. This was expressed to the customer and the customer was aware that we were in contact with the manufacturer and the advisories that they would not replace. —- To be honest we understand the need but to be given a 1 star review for a large complex build that takes 3/4 weeks with multi trades over a cracked leg is unfair.

“Contacted this company twice regards a new garage. Each time they've said they'll contact me regard a site visit. Still waiting..... In my opinion they are definitely not interested in selling garages.”

“Had lots of correspondence initially about a large garage replacement and even visited their sales centre in Bargeddie. When we tried to arrange a site survey visit all communication from OBG ceased. They seem not to be interested in garages anymore despite this being part of portfolio. In fairness OBG have good prices so we have started negotiations three times and have now been “ghosted” three times. No replies to our emails or phone calls. Disappointed that our project is so far behind because of time wasted with OBG.”

“We were looking for an outdoor building to be used as an office. After researching several companies we used OBG who were very professional from initial consultation through construction and finishing. The company was very easy to deal with and we would recommend them to any of our family and friends. Further to building being completed we used the landscaping department of OBG to complete several projects in our garden which they have with great success.”

“A very professional service from start to finish. A very pleasant team all round, very courteous and with good communication on-site and from the office. The on-site joiners were fantastic, very hardworking and considerate. We are delighted with our garden room which is exactly as we envisaged it and is a great space in summer but also all year round as so well insulated and easy to heat. We are glad we got a skylight which gives great additional natural light. I would highly recommend OBG as an excellent company with high standards and who build to your own specific needs.”
