“Really wished I didn't have to go through a retailer to buy this product, wherever else I go to buy products as a builder I can get them direct. But other than that brilliant product.”

“Installation a disaster. Installed bifold doors in to oak frame in living room. Fitters had never done an oak frame install before. They were asked to put the doors in to meet external cover boards to ensure a weather tight seal. However they did not check frame position where they were asked to put the frame and the jamb and head screws have missed the structural oak posts and beams completely. Nice product but appalling installation.”

“Very good doors. Surprisingly good noise exclusion. Solid and open and shut smoothly. No drafts. Definitely would recommend.”

“Smart looking yet clearly very sturdy products that do the job required very well . Installed on site by a highly experienced team. My sole complaint,which is a serious one ,is the delay :we feel our project slipped 6 weeks .The glass supplier was blamed ,as was Christmas although this event happens every year ; while the glass supplier may have been at fault ,it was very disappointing .”

“The installers arrived when stated on the day. They were efficient, clean, friendly and very helpful. When finished the work area was clean and tidy with no mess left behind. The use of the door was explained in a clear manner and I was shown how it operated. The whole installion was very clean and tidy and I would recommend Orion as the installers of your product to anyone asking about it.”

“Beautiful addition to my downstairs extension. They transferred the house bringing the small but lovely garden into its full glory. I spend hours relaxing and admiring my garden, which before was barely visible from the small patio door. The house has such an light and airy feel to it now. Worth every penny!”

“The product seems good and the effect on the room where they are fitted is great , bringing the outside in. On the downside they were installed badly (by a third party), the sliding doors are stiff , both doors / sets are very drafty so may need adjusting and the threshold height is too high due to installation errors. The service from Origin themselves so far has been very good, but our relationship with the installer has broken down . The installer also had to replace a large number of windows (after we had to obtain an independant report ) that they had installed as they were the wrong size or damaged by them during failed remedial works (8 number so far). The installer still has works outstanding on the site but we have not heard from them for 2 months. Installation of the Origins started in August 15 and trims were not completed until December 15. So the conclusion is that Origin provide a quality product and service but be very careful who installs them . Maybe Origin could be more selective about who they allow to install their products . Due to the problems (which may not be due to Origin) I am disappointed at present.”

“Love the doors but am disappointed that the sill running the length of the door is not the same length as the frame it about 10mm shorter either side of the frame. This has meant filling in with silicon that is disappointing. Few other installation snags that I will be taking up with the installer.”

“Stunningly beautiful bi fold doors, real feel of quality, would heartedly recommend the doors, worth every penny, but just don't buy via Planet South Lakes in Kendal, Origin's Cumbrian agent. We had a dreadful experience with PSL, they fitted new windows on the first day and early on the second day I mentioned that I was really excited to see the bi fold doors in situ. The hapless installers enjoyed telling me that the bi folds hadn't arrived and laughed at me! . I rang PSL and queried this and they admitted they hadn't got my bi folds and told me it would be two weeks before they could be delivered, I complained - as I had a large hole (11 foot by 7 foot) in the front of my lounge wall and couldn't wait 2 weeks, I was told that they didn't know why I was making such a fuss! Them I spoke with Hannah from Origin who assured me that as long as they had the colour in stock they could deliver within 48 hours of the order. PSL actually argued with me saying that Origin had told them a different story, I even offered to drive down to High Wycombe to pick up the doors as PSL didnt have an available staff member to go collect them and " they only get a delivery on a Wednesday". PSL accused me of not paying when the job hadn't even been finished, the sad episode was saved by Guy from PSL who actually came out and listened to my concerns and got most things put right. Great product from Origin, just be very careful on your agent.”

“We had fitted origin bifold doors and origin electric blinds. Both are excellent products and have made a great difference to our house. They are well made .stylish and easy to open and close. Friends have commented on the spectacular difference they have made to our house. We fitted the blinds ourselves -that was not a problem-straighforward but were disappointed with the confusing instructions provided on programming the blinds which we have yet to get right. I wish origin would have another look at this. They could do better by simplifying the instructions and by having a you tube video on how to programme the blinds to open and close to set positions. It would cost zilch Brian and Linda Thomas”
