“This so called Company must be closed down. HMRC says I signed a Deed of Assignment giving permission for HMRC to send them my hard earned money. I had never heard of this Company before and signed nothing, HMRC said I need to contact them so that I can stop them from claiming any future tax payment, my question to HRMC is why will you send my hard earn money to another company without contacting me first, this company made themself difficult to find on phone or via email, the only contact they have is PO Box, pls avoid this useless company”

“AVOID BUT THEY WILL GO AHEAD ANYWAY AS THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE IF YOU HAVE AUTHORIZED THEM OR NOT!!!!!!!! If I could give no stars I would. Made an online enquiry, didn’t sign anything or agree to anything, then got a letter from HMRC saying i'm entitled to £216 rebate and that the cheque has been sent to this company. Explained I had not authorised Gateway Rebate to act on my behalf. Have been told I have to take it up with the company. Gateway Rebate won't deal with me on livechat as I did not have a reference number. Clearly I haven't as I have not asked them to act on my behalf. I managed to get hold of them on the phone and the lady that answered said only Jack could deal with my query and he would call me back, she also said that they had got verbal consent during a phone call which I dispute as never spoke to this company on the phone. That was 3 weeks ago and no phone call.”

“Let me start by saying I should have read the smallprint but I received £64.64 from hmrc but all the deductions online tax rebates made left me with just £7_12 yes its crazy I am so annoyed to make it worse these thieves sent me a feedback form to ask how will I spend my rebate I should ask them how are they going to spend my £57 they stole from me so my advice is avoid these at all cost claim the refund yourself its free and you won't get ripped off by these”

“Made an online enquiry, didn’t sign anything or agree to anything, ended up with a letter from HMRC saying entitled to £72, get a cheque after 28% deduction and £36 admin fee a grand total of £12…. Dodgy as hell and worst thing is HMRC dont even want to know, espec as the signed document wasn’t my signature… pure Assh*les”

“I've never heard of this company but they were able to take nearly £70 pounds of my tax rebate leaving me with £32 pounds which they sent in a check. So underhanded. I never signed anything. I would have felt better if I was held up and the money was taken by force. Avoid and reiterate in writing to HMRC that under no circumstances is this to have access to your money. I'm fuming😠😠😠😠😠AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE”

“Never had an experience lije this. No phone number and regisrered address saying Cork yes there an English Company. Have been ripoed of. They claimed my tax rebate and its in there account. They will not respond to my emails and now Revenue checking.”

“Do not use!! Awful company. I put in a claim for a uniform tax rebate of £60 on the 07/04/19. I never heard anything back. I then subbmitted a flat rate tax rebate through my personal online tax account in jan 2021 and managed to get some money back from HRMC only to find that the money had gone to online tax rebate LTD who then took £220 off my refund from HRMC. I did all of the work and then have robbed me of £220. They were not interested in my emails and basically said tough luck. Please please keep well clear.”

I had never heard of this Company before and signed nothing and when HMRC sent me a copy of the Deed of Assignment my signature had clearly been forged. Having now investigated this one man band Company, that operates from a Post Office address with no obvious telephone/email contact number it is clear that at best they are trading just inside what is legal or at worst complete Scammers and fraudsters. They prey on low paid workers who have little understanding of how the tax system works or do not have the time to challenge their activities. Horrendous and scandalous charges will seriously reduce any refund you may be entitled to. AVOID.”

“Disgusting, out of £380.00 tax rebate I received a cheque for £12.50. I spoke to HMRC who said go through them, and that I signed a document, strange that I did not. They are nothing but thieves and need to be stopped!!! Fuming is not the word.”

“If I could give no stars I would! Made an enquiry which apparently gives them authority to take my tax refunds for the past 5 years! Spoke to HMRC who said they have a legal document I have signed to authorise this!!! I have signed nothing but yet they've sent them my cheque for £128 to which I barely received nothing. I did the application for the refund myself online through government gateway but apparently that means nothing. Mortified, needed the money desperately!”

“A MAJOR CON Disgusting Service! Do not use this one man business. If I could give the option of minus stars I would have! I have been conned by this service, and tried to discuss my matter with Tony but he has now chosen to ignore my emails and refused to provide any proof of my contract. I was duped into signing a contract without my knowledge as I pressed the 'free estimate' tab, believing any information I was providing was for the estimate not for a contract. Tony claims he had sent me an confirmation of my contract to my email which he never did (this was not in my junk folder either). I had never received anything form this company when filling in my details so assumed it hadn't worked...few months after I get an cheque from them saying they claimed my tax for me and have taken a HUGE cut from it. I had overpayed my tax therefore they also claimed on this. Again they claimed this without my knowledge or confirmation of contract and refuse to pay me back. Tony is now ignoring my emails and also any legal correspondence I have provided. I will be filing a case with the police as well as he has committed fraud. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE - it will be cheaper and easier to go directly through HMRC.”

“Sigh. Looks like I was caught out by these b*stards too. I thought it was a legitimate tax checking system for uniformed workers. They thieve 95% of your claim. I'll go cash my cheque for £1.80 now as they charge you extra if you don't....pure vultures.”
