“course was very detailed great support from the tutor and very good course to gain qualification the only issue I had was a few times when sending assignments it said it was AI generated or use of American words which I struggled with to write it in a way that would be accepted even tho it wasn't AI generated did cause some stress and frustration but I finally got through it”

“Course content was interesting and enjoyable and got a lot out of the course. Feedback from tutor on passed assignments was generally detailed, highlighting what was done well and what could have been better, but on assignments that were referred the feedback was not helpful at all and I had to ask several times and insist for relevant feedback. One assignment was referred stating content was too much like the text and after debating this a few times and asking for constructive and accurate feedback and to tell me what the similarities were, the tutor could not answer on this. I was eventually asked to resubmit the same file again for feedback to be given, which was then passed without any feedback. Exactly the same assignment was submitted by me without any changes, etc and the second submission was passed which made me doubt the competency of the tutor. Am specifically giving this feedback because I am also a certified Food Safety and Health & Safety Trainer and Examiner and the feedback I give on papers I have to refer gives good detail on each question where students went wrong and how to improve, withouth giving the answer itself Overall content of the course was interesting and some suggestions I would have to improve might also be the use of a broader range of resources such a video clips, etc to highlight things because different learners respond to different training resources or methods, etc”

“I must admit I struggled with the lack of tuition during my course. I think for me personally, working online was quite hard. I hadn't written an essay for 30 years prior to this course so I felt quite overwhelmed at times. My tutor was helpful but the length of time it sometimes took to get a reply to a question I had meant that my studies were delayed for a few days. When studying alongside working it was quite hard to not get same day responses.”

“- It takes a long time to get the certificate - each question needs a certain number of words to finish, a quite a lot of reference to support though it's just a certificate level of course”

Hi, Thank you for your review. It can take 6-12 weeks to receive your certificate once your course has been completed, which is due to your work having to be quality assured on completion of your course and certificates have to be issued to us from the awarding body. Kind regards OLC

“i get a tutor that did t like me and i did t pass no one test i try more then 2 times then i change the tutor and i get good one so i pass. Discrimination. Second my tutor was nice and much better give me feedback that help me.”

“I am happy with the course however I found the feedbacks given after the assignments vague, like there were following a template rather than my work. It also takes 4 working days until the reply of a message or the feedback and sometimes this felt like ages. I was looking forward the course, I was excited, but I lost motivation because of the circumstances mentioned earlier. I should admit though that I learned a lot and I was given extra two weeks to finish the course.”

“The course content was interesting and has proved very useful in practical situations. Whilst the tutor was friendly their response times were particularly slow in some instances, I understand this was due to high submission volumes due to COVID-19. There was very little if any ‘tutoring’ involved, they simply graded and noted what was missed in a very basic manner. Questions asked were not really answered and help requested was not received.”

“I enjoyed the content of the course and I was happy to be stretched with my evidence, however, all feedback was asking me to continue with my evidence and it would have been nice to have received some positive feedback based on specific evidence. Due to the above practice, I found it difficult to keep myself motivated towards the end of the course.”

“My specific course (Preparing to work in home based childcare) had very little provided information - just a few PDFs - and I was not aware until after starting that I'd need to also purchase a textbook. The provided information was no where near sufficient to complete the assignments. The tutor was fast at returning feedback and gave helpful answers most of the time.”

“My tutor didn’t help me massively, but I suppose it depends on the tutor you get. She was also a bit hit and miss in marking e.g something that was okay in one assignment was not okay in another. Not all the info you need is in the “lessons” so getting a book on your course is helpful!”

“When sign up don’t really let uno what your getting into I don’t no I would do it a again as one staff so really rude when I asked a question and they take so long to mark off your work and feed back didn’t help I had to get a new tutor”

“Although the corse was an okay corse to complete when it came to finishing I had to push back my date and re pay for extra months and most of the time this was due to work not being marked which I didn’t feel was fair . Over all a good corse and got me my level 3 while at home”

Thank you for your review Megan, students are given 12 months to complete this course if assignments were submitted throughout the whole 12 months, it would mean that the last week is there for tutors to mark your last assignment and request for your certificate. However we do give the option of paying for extra months for students who may not have started their assignments right away. We hope this hasn't put you off studying with us again in the future. “The course overall was acceptable, I had a few problems at the end but these were resolved by the help team. The questions need to be altered slightly, to include what you actually need to answer, as I had answered the questions and then the tutor would give me additional questions to answer to achieve a pass. There also needs to be information about word counts, as it says there are no word counts but my tutor and the help desk told me there was word counts on all assignments, being around 400-500 to show understanding. This needs to be added in. I feel I would have passed quicker if these things had been laid out in the question.”

“I thought the course was good and I learnt quite a bit. The only downside I found was the tutor for one or two assignments didn’t give me the appropriate feedback and I lost valuable attempts and it stressed me out but overall the course was great”
