“1. On arrival at the hotel, Farthings, we found that we had NO reservation as I had not confirmed the booking with you and had just assumed that on receiving the voucher and having paid for it, it was all done. 2. Although the hotel was alright, as hotels go, I have had more ‘Luxurious’ stays at ‘Premier Inns' and could hardly class this one in the ‘Luxury’ category considering the price that I paid.”

Dear Mr Biscoe We are disappointed that you felt to have left us a two-star review following your stay at The Farthings Hotel. However, as clearly stated on your voucher, this must be redeemed before arrival at the hotel. As you had already arrived at the hotel without making a prior booking with us, there would have been no reservation in place. The hotel contacted us on your arrival and we managed to make and confirm a booking for you whilst you were at the hotel. We contacted you by phone to explain the procedure and believe we went above and beyond to make your booking on your day of arrival ensuring you were able to enjoy your stay. “I looked at the website but prefer to speak to someone for details. Websites in general are impersonal and one is not speaking to a local person who can say more of visitor attractions. The operator was extremely helpful and talked me through details of suitable rooms for our needs……this could not have been done on line.”

“Booking fairly simple. Did not confirm immediately, but got confirmation within the 24 hours promised. Hotel does not have the dining time we asked for so will have to phone to ask about this.”
