“The team at Off The Map Travel could not have been more helpful. Katie designed a personalised itinerary for our trip and arranged everything with the hotel on our behalf and also identified appropriate flights for us too. The team were very flexible to changes in our planned travel dates and were always on hand to answer questions to help us prepare for our trip. There were two third party companies recommended to us by Off the Map Travel for flights and cold weather kit hire and both provided a high quality of customer service. Off the Map Travel took the the effort and the stress out of booking our holiday and I would not hesitate to recommend them.”

“From start to finish Off The Map Travel provided a first class & personal service. They tailor-made a holiday for us; satisfying all our requirements and were on hand prior to departure and in Bjorkliden to offer support. Yes, other tour companies do this, however Katie & Jonny ensured everything was as near perfect as possible This adventure exceeded all our expectations. The activities we participated in were incredible and made this trip very special. The icing on the cake was the Northern Lights which were truly spectacular. However, I have to say that had we not been lucky enough to see them the holiday we experienced would still have been fantastic”

“We booked a bespoke Northern Lights experience through Off the Map Travel. They provided a very friendly and helpful booking process, with any queries answered promptly. We used Dial a Flight for our flights as recommended by Jonny and they also proved very efficient and helpful. We were given lots of useful information prior to travelling and once at the resort Jonny and Katie were on hand to facilitate the smooth running of our holiday. They are extremely knowledgable about the area and the Northern lights, which gave us the best chance of seeing them. The trips they arranged for us (dog sledding and snowmobiling) were well organised and great fun with friendly and enthusiastic tour guides. We can not recommend this company highly enough and we will definitely be using them again.”

“Just back from 6 days in Sweden arranged through Off the Map Travel. We started our trip with an overnight stopover in Stockholm. Jonny recommended the Elite Marina Tower hotel which proved to be a great choice. The following day we transferred up to Kiruna. we were met at the airport by Katie and taken to Bjorkliden. We then had 5 days of activities which we had mainly pre booked before departure. Every activity was enjoyed by all the family and when we wanted to arrange additional things Jonny and Katie were on hand to help organise things. There passion and enthusiasm shines through and this rubs off on you. On the last night we were fortunate to have an amazing Aurora display and both Jonny and Katie were on hand throughout and I think there were as excited as we were. I would highly recommend OTM to anyone looking to enjoy the delights of the Northern Lights. Jonny also put us in touch with an Expedition Kit hire company and Dial a Flight who also helped make our trip a great experience.”

“Amazing! Right from the initial booking to the holiday adventure I cannot speak highly enough about Off the Map. They arranged a fantastic itinerary for our whole family. At every stage we had plenty of useful information and they even responded within a few hours when we had a small query part way through the holiday. We would not have had the confidence and local knowledge to arrange the holiday ourselves so a huge thank you goes to those lovely people at OTM who sorted out a holiday to remember.”

“Superb! Off the Map provided a unique and totally 'bespoke' service for our Northern Lights half term holiday in Sweden. Nothing was too much trouble for Katie and Johnny who seemed to be on hand for their customers 24/7! Their enthusiasm and passion for providing amazing holidays for their clients was plain for all to see. Very personal touch, rare in holiday travel companies. They tailored flights perfectly to suit us, altered hotel dining times to suit outings, organised veggie meals in a very non-veggie environment, sorted a perfect family itinerary, they were in constant touch with all their customers..(non 'off the map' people in the same resort were jealous! ) they even wiped tears on ski slopes (we were lucky they were in the resort when we were!) Totally recommend this travel company ! we'll definitely use them again - maybe to sweden - maybe somewhere else? Off the Map are the aurora/adventure people to go to!”

“I was impressed with Off the map travel from the initial telephone call right through to the holiday itself. We wanted to do a late booking to see the Northern lights, not an easy ask and many other companies were booked out. Katie had the ability to tailor make what I wanted and fit everything in - I never thought I would be able to do everything we wanted but they made it happen. The holiday itself was once in a lifetime and Jonny was on hand at the hotel to help us if we had any questions. I liked the flexibility they offered, the attention to detail they give from being a small company and the options they offer as a company - we would never have stayed in the hotel we did if they hadnt have put us there and it was by far the best hotel in the area - a lot better than the others in Abisko. In summary I recommend this company if you want flexibility, personal attention and the ability to go somewhere that not everyone else goes to. A truly magical holiday.”

“Very smooth process from the ground up. When I booked everything through the London office there were no surprises and everything was easy and to the point. The more details you give the better your trip will be - I certainly felt that. The itinerary that you get is extremely clear and concise. All details are there and all pick ups / activities were as agreed. Tailor making your trip is well worth it so you get what you want. Off the Map travel can make that happen. Would 100% recommend reaching out to them to plan your next adventure.”

“We contacted Off The Map Travel from Australia by email and asked them to put together our dream adventure holiday in Lapland to experience the Northern Lights. They very quickly came back with a fantastic itinerary that suited us and we booked it and then just had to wait for the months to go by before we could go. They were brilliant. Everything went smoothly. We didn't have to think really just soak up the wonderful sights. They put us in touch with really interesting guides for different excursions, supplied us with some clothing, picked great accommodation and we think our contact was more than brilliant in giving us information on the Northern Lights and the area and making sure we got the most out of our trip. We were rewarded with a spectacular Aurora one night, which was unbelievable and thanks to our Off The Map guide we were on to it early and had started photographing it before others knew it was happening. We highly recommend them for anyone who wants a great wilderness experience with the most knowledgeable people and in great accommodation. Hope to return from Australia and do an Iceland/Norway adventure with them one day.”

“This holiday was a trip of life time and from start to finish everything was taken care of by the off the map team, who were not only there at the end of the phone but actually there on site!!! Could not of asked for anything more. A perfect tailored holiday which we chose and off the map travel made a reality. Bjorkliden is the perfect location to experience the stunning wilderness and of course to see the amazing Aurora Borealis!! The hotel and cabins were the very definition of warm of cosy and at a very high standard.”

“Last year a group of 6 of us set off to the wilds or deepest, darkest Sweden with Jonny and Katie. They kept us up-to-date with the proceedings from the minute we contacted them, to the minute we touched down back in the UK. They organised many activities for us, from dog sledging, to Northern Lights photography sessions at midnight. They were knowledgeable, resourceful, approachable and really went the extra mile-including impromptu visits to the local shops for a sweetie top up, to a brief excursion into Norway. Jonny was the resident eyes on the sky and would inform us of the latest news regarding the aurora spotting and proved invaluable the evening i locked us out of our chalet at 2am. They couldn't have done more for us that week, including swapping their apartments so that we had the better one. I would recommend them to anyone. Andy Barber”

“We were a party of 6, that wanted to see in the New Year (2013) in style, and with an adventure. We could not have found a better company to go with and make our trip so special. Before we left, Jonny ensured that we had the trip schedule we wanted. All options were discussed and we had a clear plan of what we would be doing, what we needed and what to expect. The itinerary - dog sledding, cross country skiing, Northern Lights photography evening, trip to the ice hotel, snow-mobiling, a night up at the sky station - etc, was fabulous. Something to do every day that fitted within our budget. Outside of the schedule, Jonny and Katie were on hand to chat, advise, give tips and help us in any way they could. They made themselves always available and were more than happy to help. Throughout the trip Jonny and Katie went above and beyond - taking us on additional trips and just being there whenever we needed. Jonny was often out hunting the Northern Lights for us - keen for us to see the best that the lights had to offer. I really cannot praise this company highly enough - and wish them all the very best for their future.”
