Thank you for your feedback, it is always good to know your thoughts on our padlocks. The small cap protects the padlock from dust and grit getting into the key barrel but as you say it may let a small amount of water in. This marine-grade padlock will not be deterred by this so please be assured it will continue to function well.

“Always been a very helpful firm, padlocks withstanding attempted break ins of garage, they marked the shank trying to cut it and failed abysmally as the padlock is strengthened. Abus padlock oil is also an easy product to use to keep the padlocks in tiptop shape.”

I am sorry to hear you had an attempted break-in but so glad your padlock prevented a successful break-in and it shows the benefit of having a good quality padlock. Using the padlock lubricant really does help give your padlocks that bit of TLC to keep them in great condition.

“Padlock arrived next day. It appears to be very sturdy which it needs to be as will be used several times a day to lock an allotment gate. I particularly like the fact that the numbers are at the bottom of the padlock which offers better protection from the weather. Also the numbers for the combination are very easy to get into place as you feel the click when moving the dial. Very pleased with it as are my fellow plot holders.”

“We are very pleased indeed with the Abus padlock bought for our garden gate - it came quickly, was easy to set up and works perfectly. We had previously had two Squires padlocks, purchased locally; one only lasted 3-4 months.) However, being totally impractical, I’d wanted to speak to an advisor over the phone before making the purchase. This was impossible though I understand the Covid difficulties. I tried to call quite a number of times. I finally spoke to a builder who was able to help who was able to answer my questions.”
