Dear Appliancentre Repair Centre North Finchley, Unfortunately your repair service was competely unsatisfactory for the following reasons: 1) Your engineer rang me at 09:30 on the day of the appointment itself (which was supposed to be from noon to 2pm on Friday 12/05) saying that since he was already in the area he could visit the flat where the repair was needed in the next 20 minutes. For this reason I was not able to reach the flat on time to check his work, only my tenant was there. 2) A link was immediately sent to me before the visit, which I found strange as I usually pay at work completed. 3) Your engineer was unable to repair either the dishwasher or the washing machine. After a 20 minutes assessment he called me saying that both of them needed replacing and he gave me a few options of dishwashers and washing machines sold by your own sale centre. A link was sent to me for immediate payment for these 2 appliances. I found this was a hard sale technique in a moment in which I was worried and panicking about these 2 rather expensive replacements. I checked online and I found cheaper prices for the same appliances so I told the engineer I would buy them somewhere else. 4) A cousin of mine who has some knowledge of appliances offered to have a look and has since repaired the Zanussi washer/drier by replacing the worn out drain pump for £80 and it is now working well. I now have to replace the dishwasher only. I feel that paying £180 for checking 2 appliances in that quick way and making no effort to repair them was not at all a good deal for me. I now would like a redress from you and who should I contact for that. Many thanks.

We understand how precious your time is and our subpar performance does not meet our usually high service standard. The booking on 12/05 was for 2 appliances (integrated dishwasher / freestanding washer dryer), The booking was between 12-2 and engineer called you in the morning to see if he can come earlier as his previous job finished earlier than expected. If you weren't available, you could have simply said that you cannot make it earlier and he would have visited you at 12! We need the payment when the engineer is at the property, and first of all you didn't said that you are a landlord and its a tenanted property and second of all we don't offer free callout. The £180 you paid was for diagnostic/labour of 2 appliances and the price is marked price and same with all repair companies. regards, North London Appliances
Terrible experience, the technician was rude, aggressive and while I was trying to sort the bill out with the landlord's property manager, he lost his patience, raised his voice and coerced me to pay him 96£ straight away, because he was in a hurry (he had parked in a loading/unloading spot).

I called to ask about a repair on my lacanche , I’ve had no joy from lacanche I was asking how much the call out charge would be. I was told VERY RUDELY , we don’t cover your area. Then he slammed the phone down , while I was still talking to him , I called back to ask again. Just out of curiosity how much call outs are. He cut me off ( again). Disgusting phone manner !!!!! DISGUSTING !!!!

It looks like you dont understand that we DONT COVER YOUR AREA! you had to call 4 times! have we been rude to you the first 2 times? im happy to share the phone records. Coverage area are even mentioned on the name of the business! not sure how more clear we need to be. Very poor customer service, very rude staff, engineers don't attend as booked. I have booked several engineer visits over the past few months for the different properties I manage and have had issues with every single booking. When you speak to customer service over the phone, instead of apologising they hang up on you!

Hi Dorina, Not sure how you expect us to act when the engineer attended on time and we provided you with the tracking, photos and call logs! Your tenants could have simply reschedule the appointment they missed, instead of lying and writing negative review! North London Appliances
Didn’t show up but when I called up, the person on the phone was so rude! Can’t believe this person works in customer service. He claimed the text message I received and still have said a different time. Then hung up on me. Never heard of gas lighting a customer before!

Hi Ms Oriana Houston, The booking was between 12-2 which you can double check with your estate agent! The engineer notified you by text at 12:38 and tried to contact you at 12:46. No one opened the door for him and he submitted the job as failed. You called us later on complaining that no one showed up although we had tracking and text and call logs that shows he's been there and tried to call you.
The engineer did not come on the Saturday with no call explaining. They texted coming Mon on Mon when not ok. The visit included a replacement part but it did not fix problem. Could not explain what doing. Then 2 charges made describing wrong type of oven when job already paid for.

Hi Maggie, To clarify, the 2 payments were: 1 for the labour which you paid upfront as you couldn't be at the property on the time of the engineer visit and the second payment was for the part the engineer installed. The element on your oven was faulty which he replaced and tested before charging you for the part. Ive attached a photo of the faulty part and also emailed you the full report. Don't use them if you have fridge/freezer issue, the repair man is incompetent. I had a problem with my freezer temperature. I called repair man appliance service. The repairman haven't done any tests on the freezer but told me that my fridge is at least 10 years old and it is either cooler leakage (£200) or compressor (£500), and advised to buy a new one from them. For this advise he didn't need to come as I described the issue in details. He collected £100 for that. My fridge is 3 years old and it was still working a week later, so I called other repair services and it turns out to be a thermostat issue, which cost me way less than new fridge or any of the numbers suggested by this appliance service repair.

We apologise that your experience with us wasn't satisfactory and would like to make it right. I checked the report, and no where it says anything about the leakage or compressor. This is the part number the engineer advised that needs to be replace: 9822425693437. A copy of the engineer reports available on request. Also based on your fridge model and serial number the appliance is more than3 years old. Serial no: 00500017 The first number indicates the year of manufacture, and the second and third digits indicate the production week. Thank you again for your review.
Today I had the worst customer experience EVER curtesy of North London Appliance Repairs. I BEG everyone to avoid this shop. I called to confirm a delivery - was hung up on - three times - and my order was apparently cancelled but I still have no confirmation of this and am out several hundreds of pounds AND NO ONE WILL TAKE MY CALL ON THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE. Such horrendous disrespect for me as a human being - no matter a paying customer. They do not deserve anyone’s business. I have never left a bad review before for anyone. But my experience today was just the most extreme case of bullying and disempowerment. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.

You have been using the dishwasher without salts! that damaged the heat pump. The engineer provided you with the quote for replacement part and the note we got on the system is to order the part and reschedule. Late! 4 minutes and you called multiple times although we sent the tracking. "We cancelled second visit."
He turned up, decided he didn't want to look for parking, so left. This service is appalling.

Hi Philip Gardner, Unfortunately, there were no pay and display spaces available outside your building and only resident permits were available. Your partner also tried arranging a space with the concierge and as none were available, we had to rescheduled the appointment for a different date. Been charged 90 pounds for nothing, just statement that dishwasher is broken and engineer cant fix it. Extremely unhappy.

Our washer is more broken that before. The guy was supposed to change the broken lock with a new one that I bought: he pull the parts together wrong, so it doesn’t work and he wanted to leave like this. We asked him to put the old ones back, at least we could close the washer door: he also manage to mess that up and put it back wrong so now we cannot use our washer anymore. 80 pounds to make things worst! We want to be reimbursed.

An awful experience when I tried to call customer service because I haven't received any confirmation when I book an oven installation via online form. The customer service checked my application and said "we can't do that day you choose and you haven't been accepted by the system so nothing we can do about it," and hung up the phone straight away. Then I tried to call sales department to book the service over the phone again, the same person answered the call, he hang up the call straight away as he manage to recognize my voice. I can't believe such a rude customer service and sales. Please try to avoid this company, they not worth a penny at all.

Engineer did not attend initial appointment. I then had to call to get someone to come. A new part was needed. Engineer who attended could give no timescale or arrange a time to come back 2 business days later I had heard nothing and called to be told the part would be in next day and I would be called. Next day no call received. I chased. The person on the phone said they needed to check the part received had arrived and would call back shortly. No call back. At 545pm I called and put on hold with no answer. I just want my dishwasher fixed and for someone to sort it out quickly

The appointment was between 10-12 and you called us at 12:04 complaining about the delay and asking for a discount because of 4 minutes delay! The engineer showed you the traffic and a photo he took when he got there and you cancelled the job.
Customer service is extremely rude. They think they’re doing you a favour by coming out and getting paid but then don’t answer your calls and make you wait for a new part. Wouldn’t advise to use

The company never responded to my booking, and it turns out they don’t do oven installation if you haven’t bought the oven from the company - despite suggesting they do. The guy on the customer service number had a poor manner and hang up - he’d obviously been dealing with too many complaints.

Not good experience with washing machine repair service and even worse experience with customer service. We had a fault where the RCB fuse blew each time we plugged our machine is. The man turned up in the morning and without looking at the machine asked if we had already got the heating element to fix it. We advised he was here to diagnose the issue so asked him why did he assume it was the heating element (looking online it could be caused by a few different issues). He then pulled out and opened the machine and checked with his multimeter and said yes it's the heating element which would cost around £35 to replace (he didn't take the heating element out to inspect it which we thought was a bit strange). He then advised at 5yrs old it would be more cost effective to buy a new one. (Our machine would cost between £600 to £800 to replace so we were perplexed why it would be more cost effective. Looking online good washing machines should have a life of 10 to 15 years so fixing it should have been more cost effective to pay £35 plus labour). When we explained that to him he suddenly out of the blue added that our circuit board also needed replacing as well but couldn't explain clearly what was wrong with it other than pointing to his meter and saying he didn't get any reading from it (we thought it a bit strange 2 things would go wrong at the same time but perhaps sometimes it happens) and further he couldn't give any rough idea of the cost of the board (an experience service person should have had some idea). Nonetheless we requested that he provide a quote to fix the 2 items and he advised he would provide a report by that evening and customer services would get back to us asap. We paid the callout fee of £84 feeling somewhat uneasy. However no report or quote was provided that evening or next morning. The next day I rang and a very abrupt and rude customer service man called Sam answered and advised they were working on getting a quote but didn't give a time they would provide it by. I brought up some of our concerns about the visit we had but it was obvious he didn't want to listen and he cut me off mid sentence. When I rang back he again didn't want to listen and just spoke over me then cut me off. Third time I tried calling there was no answer from anyone. Looking at many reviews this appears a common experience from a lot of people. I just wish I had read the reviews before booking with this dreadful company. They appear to just want to make it difficult to repair your machine with the aim to try and get you to buy a new one. The customer service manners are shocking. Would not recommend this company at all.

Hi John Fletcher, We sent an engineer yesterday to check your Siemens washer and after checking the product the engineer reported that we need to order a heating element. The part wasn't available and he couldn't give you price yesterday. Today you called and we informed you that we are looking for the part and will call and confirm the price before we order it. (which was a lie) after I told you that we have a photo of the machine that shows the engineer open it and also confirmation from the engineer that he checked the machine, you CHANGED your story and claimed that he just check it with multimeters! and we explained to you that's how they check the element! We always tell the customers that parts takes 2-4 working days to find and order and you didn't even allowed 24hours for a part that's not in stock with the manufacturer and we need to look around to find one.
