About North Bikes:

We are a small, independent company, based in the North of England, specializing in bicycles for all the family, with an emphasis on kids’ bikes.

Bikes have been a passion of ours since the late 1970s when it all began from a small shop in Idle, Bradford, West Yorkshire.

We believe in the bicycle - it’s a health tool, a transport solution, and a sport. A bike can unite friends and family for enjoyable days out, or extract your full potential in racing.

Over the course of 200 years, bicycles have undergone many changes and have transformed the way we travel, exercise and enjoy ourselves.

Against the backdrop that our society is continually facing concerning health and transportation challenges, we see bikes as part of the solution to the nation’s problems.

North Bikes is committed to encouraging people to get out on their bikes and enjoy the benefits of cycling!

“Fantastic service. I ordered a bike for my daughter’s 8th birthday from a competitor. It arrived damaged, they accepted the return and promised a replacement would be with me for her birthday on the Saturday. On the Friday I was informed it would now be the following Wednesday which would have caused huge disappointment. I cancelled the order and frantically ‘googled’ for a last minute replacement. I stumbled across North bikes and the website actually had a telephone number and a real person answered at the end. The guy I spoke to was amazing, told me to place the order and he would have the bike built by 5pm so I could drive and collect in time for the birthday on Saturday! I collected the bike just after 5pm as promised.. faultless service!”

“The service from North Bikes was absolutely amazing. I ordered a frog bike for my daughter and the same day David was in touch to tell me that just before they were due to ship the bike they noticed an imperfection and would have to wait until the next week to despatch the bike. However, they despatched a new bike the next day. The bike arrived within 1 working day and appears to be in perfect condition. Based on my experience I genuinely could not recommend this company enough. I certainly will be shopping with them again!”

“My Kinder mx 26 arrived very quickly and I'm very pleased with it. It's light and easy to cycle for my daughter. The gears weren't quite set up fully as they needed adjustment so I had to go on google for that once I'd adjusted the brakes. They still skip a little but my daughter is new to gears so that may be down to her. One problem is that the gear levers foul the brakes/handle on the right hand side so that you can't angle the brake lever down properlyso I would recommend different gears - the ones that are built into the handle bars. many thanks Becky”

I will give you a call to see if there's anything that can be done to remedy the problem with the angle of the gear shifter and brake lever.
