About North Bikes:

We are a small, independent company, based in the North of England, specializing in bicycles for all the family, with an emphasis on kids’ bikes.

Bikes have been a passion of ours since the late 1970s when it all began from a small shop in Idle, Bradford, West Yorkshire.

We believe in the bicycle - it’s a health tool, a transport solution, and a sport. A bike can unite friends and family for enjoyable days out, or extract your full potential in racing.

Over the course of 200 years, bicycles have undergone many changes and have transformed the way we travel, exercise and enjoy ourselves.

Against the backdrop that our society is continually facing concerning health and transportation challenges, we see bikes as part of the solution to the nation’s problems.

North Bikes is committed to encouraging people to get out on their bikes and enjoy the benefits of cycling!

“After placing the order i was unsure if the bike was too big, so I emailed them that evening with my daughters height easurements. Received a response thar same evening (so out of their working hours) to confirm the smaller size would be more suited. They changed the order and sent the smaller bike which arrived 2 days later along with a refund of the price difference. Above and beyond customer service and they clearly are not about taking your money to suggest a smaller and cheaper bike.”

“Purchased a Forme Harpur 14 for my 4 year old, excellent customer service they spotted a defect on the bike so delayed delivery until a new one was sourced. Easy to build and very lite weight, also received tools and a tyre pump which was convenient. Only downside was APC couriers that knocked on the door and dashed before I could answer had to collect myself the day after. I’d advise collecting the bike directly from North Bikes in Bradford.”

“Fantastic experience! The checklist, and supplied tools?! Went further than expected. Delivery, packaging and the whole experience was most excellent! Given that I found them via Google and didn't check reviews I wasn't expecting things to be so excellent. My son really loves his new bike! (A small note for further purchases, a bit more instructions on how to fix the mudguards on would be nice a cherry on top! There are two different ones and the fixings initially looked a bit different.)”

“I ordered a Frog Bike from North Bikes and was very impressed with the thoughtful and efficient service they provided. The overnight delivery was well communicated with a 2 hour window. They sent me a Frog Manual by Email, they included a checklist of parts in the box, additional assembly instructions and tools to do the job. Would not hesitate to recommend.”

“Absolutely fantastic. All the service of a proper shop, helpful, informative and patient (!) and completely thrilled with my childrens' new bikes. Very prompt free delivery and excellent instructions with a set of tools to do the final 4 assembly stages myself made the whole purchase a doddle. “Great bicycle and great company. We bought the one from B stock (with a little defect). The company called to made sure we are aware of of that. And we literally got the bicycle delivered the very next day - without extra charge. We also got email with manual and offer of any further advice if required.”
