Unecassarily restrictive process. Very bad login process. Very bad employee management process. Time wasted. No bulk buy discount.

This course mainly suits people of one particular learning style. Being someone with dyslexia, I struggled to complete this course and it took me on average, and hour per module. Far beyond the suggested 8 hour completion time. There is plenty of time given for the final exam, however you have to submit each answer, meaning you cannot go back at the end and check your answers to change them.

The training materials and content of the course is excellent, however, I found the web browser UI to be awful. It was difficult to read and navigate the course because the slideshow area so small and the page didnt resize well. The exam was really difficult to do because I couldn't read questions & select answers without scrolling up and down. I won't be using this course for my staff.

The timer on the test is for too short for people with English as a second language or people with dyslexia

This is far more basic than the REHIS elementary food hygien exam I previously was required to hold. I hope this is the equivelant qualification that my employer has used.

Very long time before slides, some very random questions which didn't make sense and didnt always tell you if you were correct or not

Quiz is a disaster - Learn to spell "True" - One of the multiple-selection questions only allowed me to select one option - One of the questions was repeated as an option Sort yourselves out, this course is a legal requirement and you're in a shambles.

Hi! Thanks for getting in touch. Please do give us a call on 0300 124 6866 so we can identify and rectify the issues with the course. We recently launched a new system so it looks like there have been a couple of initial issues. We look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Will NCASS

I dislike the fact you have a timer to continue on to the next question. That doesn’t help especially if you’ve already understood a section, wastes time and makes ppl not want to read it even more.

Hi, Unfortunately this covid training course is so out of date to be misleading. It refers to the social distance, self isolation period of 10 days and access to PCR testing. I have since spoken to a member of staff who advised that there are now no legal requirements and basically it is up to each business to decide what is 'safe'. I understand there are few guidelines but perhaps an NCASS best practice guide might be more useful at this point. We all need to balance workability with public health and staff and customer safety and I wonder whether there will be any expectations from EHO officers, perhaps it is too early to know. In the meantime I think the course needs to either be removed or come with a big rider. Thanks

Hi, Many thanks for getting in touch yesterday and feeding back your concerns surrounding the COVID Safety Training course. The reason we haven't updated the course, as you have pointed out, is that there are no longer restrictions in place legally within the UK. Currently it is still advisable, but not a legal requirement, to make an assessment based on what you feel will keep your customers and staff safe, and there are useful tips and bits if information contained within the course based upon previous requirements. I would be more than happy to go over any other details regarding what is now expected in terms of Covid regulations so feel free to get in touch! Kind Regards, Will

Platform regularly crashed. No option to undertake without audio. Not interactive. Didn’t tell you the corrections for the answers that were incorrect. Speaker came across monotonously, so very challenging to focus on the key and important points.

Course buggy, some pages have no sound, others have unnecessary screens. Narration is boring and too slow - my team hate this training. If an answer is wrong, there's often no explanation of which is correct, and no way to reinforce knowledge.

Multiple things spelled incorrectly, voice actors stuttering and fluffing their lines, high feedback from cheap microphones while recording. If you are providing training then it’s your responsibility to make sure the course is 100% accurate and checked for errors. The wording on the final test was also poor.

As one of the higher end courses ( for non members £30) I wouldn’t say that the course was particularly exceptional or worthy of your money over other courses. I saw a different £10 course with a different provider and wished I had taken it and saved £20. Nothing special. Very basic

The first rule of doing a presentation is that you don't simply read from the slides. Unfortunately, this training session has a voiceover that simply reads directly from the slides and doesn't allow you to continue until you've listened to it all. I can take in information much better by reading it than by listening to it, so this is a complete waste of time. As a result I found myself muting it, multitasking and probably retaining less information than I would have if the software simply let me read the course material at my own pace. The training materials (pest control module, slide 12) contain a reference to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAFF). MAFF hasn't existed since 2002, when it became DEFRA, so the course materials apparently haven't been updated in 19 years!!! Goodness only knows what other new information from the last 19 years hasn't been included. I'd also prefer it if the certificate could be printed out at home - I have an EHO inspection next Monday and I don't know if the laminated copy will turn up in time. Good job I already have Level 2 so I'm legal, but it would be better to at least have an option to print out something in the interim.

I really feel you need to update all your training modules. They feel very clunky and old fashioned compared to some of the other providers on the market and let down NCASS as a whole.

Vague questions for final exam. Slides often read like a high school presentation rather than official hygiene training. A few typos also present across the course. Overall, the course was informative and helpful but could definitely be improved.

4 times over 3 days that I was doing this course at the end of a module I would be logged out and then would have to repeat the whole module again! I did call up tech support and they were very helpful in moving me on to the next module (but 4 times this happened! It wasn’t my browser history of chrome) Then in the test I got half way through and it just wouldn’t move on to the next question - I had no choice but to refresh the page and then of course I had to start the test from the very beginning again. A few spelling/ grammar mistakes too which considering the price is really lacklustre Over rall highly irritating experience

Unnecessarily long! Why can't we click through slides at our own pace? The inconsistencies in the branding/colour formation of slides (mostly white back ground with black writing with the odd black with white writing) is jarring. Course content is great and actually challenging, I wish I could give more stars but the formatting and presentation along with the constant crashing is awful and makes for a very slow and painful learning experience. Sorry...
