Some of friends of mine blamed to me that i mad a prepayment before doing MOT.
Because some of cheap MOT will be caused of expensive MOT eventually.
But, based on my last experience from Mr. Clutch, I would like to trust Mr. Clutch.

“Car booked in for gold service. Hard to start next day, engine backfiring, strangled engine when trying to accelerate.
RAC diagnosed spark plug problem and possible fuel filter problem.Commented that service stated spark plug changed but spark plug compartment appeared not to have been touched when compared to plastic bits in engine compartment which were wiped clean.
Returned car to workshop. Receptionist adamant that plugs were changed because it said so on the report.
Report on collection of car was that faulty plug had been fitted!!
This explanation tests my credibility as in decades of motoring I have never known a new spark plug to be faulty.
Dented my trust in the company especially as they handle all the work on my 3 cars. Need to double check and ask for old parts to be returned if I use them again to service my cars.
UPDATE: Impressive awareness of Customer Care by Mr.Clutch as evidenced by their swift action to resolve issue to my complete satisfaction. Because their action shows that they listen to their Customers, they have regained my confidence and I am prepared to do business with them in the future.

“Booked car in for a service and MOT. Car apparently failed the MOT on the basis that the front suspension coils were broken. I couldn't wait a few days for for a slot so they could do the work on the car and then re-test, I was at the time in the middle of relocating to a different part of the country.
I took the car to a different company for an MOT test a few days later and it was discovered that the front suspension coils were actually OK. They must be special healing springs. OMG! Am I driving a magical car???”

“Cannot comment on the work that was done, all I have is the paperwork. Major work needed in customer service training. Front desk operatives must acknowledge customers. The experience I had on drop off and pick up was consistent, ignored on both occasions. I felt that it was like a sketch from little Britain computer says no and then the assistant coughs on you!”

The examiner allowed me to replace the tail light bulb on the spot as I always carry a good selection in compliance with some European countries' traffic laws. “I booked an appointment online for an MOT the night before at around 6pm. The appointment slot I chose was 9.15am and as it said to arrive at least 10 minutes early I actually got there just before 9am. I chose this early slot as I am self employed and had jobs to do later that morning. When I arrived the man on reception said they didn't have my name down, he then asked if I booked online the night before which I told him I did. He then said 'ah we left the office at 6pm so wouldn't have seen the appointment you booked'. Therefore the MOT inspector wasn't coming in until 10.30am! I waited for 2 1/2 hours until 11.30 when my car had finally been inspected, which then made me extremely late for all of my jobs that day. I would have gone to another garage if I had not already paid online and all the receptionist kept saying was 'I'm trying to get hold of him' so I had no idea I'd be waiting that long. What's the point in having an online booking system if you might have to wait 2 1/2 hours after the chosen time slot?! There was an even earlier time slot which I almost chose which was 8.15 so I could have been waiting even longer. While I was there another lady arrived to pick up her car to then be told it wouldn't be ready for hours so she had to get a taxi back home. This was the first time I used Mr Clutch and was not a great first impression, I will not be using Mr Clutch again and will be advising my friends not to.”
