So I received an email today after being in touch with customer service that he had spoke to a director and the director said if I didn't delete my review they wouldn't be paying to rectify the works needed to fix my car. My car needs fixing because I spent 2 thousand pound with Mr clutch and the car come out with more problems than what it went in for.
Bullying tactics being used.

“Took my car to MR CLUTCH in Basingstoke and had a new clutch and gear box installed for £1900
Once i collected my car i had an awful grinding sound coming from the engine, i returned and my car had to sit in the garage for another half a day for the problem to get rectified. When i collected my car after having a drive i noticed problems listed below:
No reverse lights
No parking cameras
No Cruise control
No speed limiter
No hill start/auto hold
Handbrake faulty
System failed appearing on DASH.
I have now had to take my car to Nissan and am awaiting a full report.
When i was in the garage complaining about these issues the technicians told me that there diagnostics machines were rubbish and that the tools supplied were rubbish so most of them brought in there own.
I now have to pay nissan to sort out my car whilst MR CLUTCH carry's out an investigation but have already been told that i was lying about what the technicians have said, I have witnesses to prove that isnt the case,
Awful experience
i hope they resolve the matter ASAP and send over there investigation to me.”
“Got a quote for a clutch for my car happy days the best I could find…. Once the car was in they called to advise that I would need an extra part as it did not come with the quote
Extra £500 on top of the £650 price
When I challenged about the quote they said it’s an extra which I do understand but I asked why wasn’t I informed of this could be an extra charge … I got other quotes that gave me variations of work so I could choose correctly
When I asked don’t worry about it I’ll go else where to be told I had to pay £250 to get the car as they had already started the work.
If you use this service please make sure you ask about other costs so you can compare quotes correctly”
“The review relates to the Maidenhead Branch of Mr Clutch.
On the 23rd December my car failed the MOT on front tyres and handbrake play and I agreed to 2 new front tyres and a rear brake service. This was done and I picked the car up in Christmas Eve with a fresh MOT
I then drove the car down to Brighton to spend Christmas Day with my family. On the way down there was a strange noise coming from the back but when we got there couldn’t see anything untoward. Fast forward to me then driving home in the evening, joining the M25 where there was a loud clunk and a loss of braking
I pulled over to see half a brake calliper hanging down with the other half nowhere to be seen!! I managed to then limp home to Maidenhead
This could’ve been catastrophic. I had my wife, mother in law, 2 young children and dogs in the car, all of which could’ve been harmed or killed because of this error.
The franchise owner has since admitted it is likely his mechanic had only done the calliper bolts up finger tight, or someone had come along and un-tightened them. In either case this is gross negligence.
The have begrudgingly offered to cover the cost of the original work, and the cost to replace the rear calliper and discs and brakes but have offered no further compensation. I also had to ask for this, originally they just offered to cover the cost to replace the missing calliper.
I am considering further legal action given the severity of this issue, but please think twice before using the Maidenhead branch of Mr Clutch.”

“If you're a young woman do not use Mr Clutch (I was going to say just the Milton Keynes branch but after my experience - stay away from the entire company).
I paid for 3 services online totally to £236.30, only received 2 out of 3 services, and the presumed manager adjusted the price of one of the services, so I still pay the same fee and not be entitled to a refund!! Once I asked for a refund for the service he did not provided, he told me no and informed me the price online was wrong so I have to pay the same price for 2 services that I already paid for 3.
When I got online and asked the HQ for a refund, they obliged.However, once I asked for the name of the ombudsman to make a formal complaint, I was told "they have a no names policy"! How do you have a no names policy for the ombudsman who regulates your industry? How do people complain? Pretty sure this is illegal.
Joke of a company - I will be advising anyone who has working ears to stay away.

“took car in to have new break pads was told could not get wheels we took car away to relies they still had the brace nut
went back only to find out they were trying to weld it together where they broke it then told to go to halfords to buy a new one !wouldn't of been so bad if they had just told us in the first place”
“I left the car in the garage for a mot and service.
The car was left 2 days in the garage; when I collected it, I noticed some smoke coming out from the bonnet, so I had to take it back again after a couple days.
When I took the car back the second time, it remained there for just a few hours, but unfortunately, when I parked the car at home, in my driveway, after the second visit, I noticed a vertical scratch and some dirt of used (black-ish) motor oil on the passenger door.
I immediately called the garage, and they suggested me to contact the HQ. I called the HQ to check the cctv and after multiple calls and emails, they replied saying that they did check the cctv and saw nothing, but they had only checked the second visit and not for the 2 days the car had been left in the garage for the mot and service.
I kept sending emails and called them multiple times, and they said that they were going to check the cctv of the first visit too, but they never really called back, so I stopped calling them and I was left with my damaged car. I do not mind about my car, as it is a little old, but a review for the crappy garage is the least I could do.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!”
“I used this Centre for an emergency clutch replacement of my 5 year old Audi and I wish I had never gone there. The very next time I took the car out after the repair there was a coolant leak and I had to replace the coolant liquid every 20 mins while driving back home. The only reason I went to the centre was because it was cheaper quote and was Mr Clutch but I later found that Mr clutch garages are independent garages that only uses the name of Mr Clutch unlike Halfords and so beware that they don't really guarantee quality, which makes me very nervous about getting more work done there. I will be taking my car to Halfords and if they find the cause of the leak was error in putting parts back while replacing the clutch I will take legal action against Mr Clutch.
I was told by the Leyton garage after inspection that the fault is not related to the clutch replacement and explained the clutch and pump is on either side of the vehicle and pressured me into paying for it. I told them I am taking the car and having it inspected by Halfords. Right after I took the car back, I got an email from customer support saying that the pump is on the rear of the engine and they could have damaged it by dropping the engine and so they would like to take a look at it to fix it. I told them I already took my car back home and I would never be comfortable taking the car back to Leyton as I do not trust them at all. I was assured that it will be a different person from head office looking at it and they will come to my place where the car is to pick it up and so I cancelled the Halfords appointment. Today morning they called me again asking me to take the car back to Leyton which I refused. I would rather take it to Halfords and make sure I take legal advice for the situation. They are nothing but deceptive people, please don’t go there.
They also asked me to remove the review on Trustpilot. Please don’t make the mistake I made and don’t go because the quote is cheaper, you will waste more money and time later.”
“Handbrake adjusters mechanism job, charged £80 an hour labour for 1.5 hours plus parts plus vat total £174. Challenged price, stupid tech, replies bought parts, bought parts, somehow tricked me, presumed head office word sort, cliff / Chris Russell / Brussell sprout, turned out to be biggest Pratt ever, told him so on email, copied in NCS, RMIF, police, trading standards, scammers online, anyone & everyone, Chris / cliff would ignore or come out with bogus stupid reply, backing stupid Tech, justifying £80 per hour labour charge. Considering ccj / gov UK money claim, however have as last resort copied Kent police into emails, in case they could resolve, or go round and beat him with a stick / zapper, Chris / cliff must learn he is not above the law, nobody is, we have standards in modern day society, if we don't respect them, whether it be deliberate or mistake by tech & bogus CRM Brussel sprout further takes the ****, the Police should deal with the matter harshly & swiftly, I know they have the capability & are doing injustice to more parties then one, all the emails! So I just want a part refund really, so when the other branch of the same garage in the same city quote £50, forwarded quoted to Chris / cliff, it was like a bee up his bonnet, he soon replied to that one! However not satisfactorily. £80 per hour labour charge, is that, right, do they have a range of prices to charge from?”

Told the manager that I wouldn't need them to do the other things they said were required as the car was booked in for a service v soon and they would check it all. He looked disappointed and then worried as presumably my mechanic wouldn't find these extra works necessary, which turned out to be the case.”

“COMPLETE RIP OFF AND SCAM! Don't use.
Following a routine service, staff agreed to run a FREE engine diagnostic if a certain fault persisted. Post service, the fault light remained and I rang up and confirmed, that the issue could be checked again for free, as it was soon after the service. This was agreed and the car booked in. On collecting the car, I was charged again for diagnostic and labour. When I mentioned it was agreed that it would be looked at for free, this is quickly denied and dismissed.
Hugely disappointing with terrible service. I will be telling everyone to avoid this garage.”
