“I am a bit conflicted on this review. On the one hand the staff were friendly and helpful like they always are. They allowed me to drop my car off early and pick it up late without any issues.
However having gone in for a MOT, I informed the receptionist that my power steering fluid was low and that it needed filling, but I wasn't sure which fluid it should take, so if they filled it during the testing and charge me I would be happy to pay.
When I picked the car up there was no charge, so there was me thinking it was another case of the staff going above and beyond, however when checking that night, the fluid was most definitely not filled up and was still in fact at a dangerously low level.
So should I now be thankful for passing my car without having to pay more? or should I be worried about what else they may have missed?
Either way, I have had years of great experience with them and will definitely take my car there again, the staff service make it worth it every time.”
“I had confused myself and booked incorrectly, there was no hassle they simply assisted me to correct my mistake. I have been taking my car there for three years now and find them providing excellent customer service and are always happy to help you. i would recommend then to anyone”
“Staff are very friendly but an additional charge added on that I had not been told about on website when booking or on phone when arranging time. Often feels like I'm being taken for a mug at Mr Clutch”
“Booked car in for mot and air conditioning re-charge on 15/08/16.
Following day telephoned the Chelmsford branch to see if I could also have service undertaken. I was told no problem and delivered car on 17/08/16 confirming I was dropping car off for service and mot. I telephoned the branch on afternoon of 17/08 to see if the car was ready for collection but was informed the car had failed it's MOT due to a few problems including;
1. A incorrectly fitted tyre (previously fitted by Mr Clutch)
2. An airbag service warning light (previously repaired by Mr Clutch)
The car remained at the branch overnight for collection on 18/08/16. Upon collection the Branch requested payment but had realised the Air con recharge had not been carried out and I had to wait for approximately 30mins for this to be carried out. It was also apparent no service had been undertaken despite this being requested.”
“MOT carried out in good time, shame they gave me the wrong MOT certificate! To be fair though they recognised the error & sorted it straight away. Mistakes will happen, it's how it's dealt with that counts.”
