“Previously had amazing service from Mr Clutch Maidenhead, I took my car to Tilehurst, Reading Mr Clutch for an MOT, it failed on having a missing clip on one of the steering CV joints. The part cost less then a pound and takes 2 minutes to fit. I asked if one could be fitted so I could take the vehicle home, I was told it was getting towards the end of the day and despite trying to reason with the guy on reception I had to walk miles home and cycle into work the next day. I collected the car the next day, charged an extra £20 for the clip and fitment. Not impressed if I am honest.
The service is impersonal and lacks help IMHO, on two occasions I had to wait 20 minutes until the front desk person could be bothered to walk into reception, he spent most of his time wandering around the workshop on his mobile.
I will now go back to Mr Clutch in Maidenhead.”
“Needed an MOT at very short notice on bank holiday Monday. Was one of the few places open. Very easy to book online and very friendly when I dropped the car off. Completed within the hour as they said it would be and called me to tell me all was ok. Online voucher meant it was only £26 as well - very reasonable. “The work done was fine and the centre always manages to get the work done either on the day or shortly afterwards. I had to go on two days due to an MOT retest, but on both days the centre was late opening. 15 minutes on the Thursday which meant I was sat around waiting for my 8.30 retest.”
“Professional, friendly, prompt. We were recommended Mr Clutch by a work colleague who said his dad has been going for years and so has the rest of the family. We're first time car owners and we've dropped by - twice - to ask them to check over our clutch and then our tyres on another occasion and other than advice that some parts may require replacement soon, they did not push for us to pay for any service or replacements. We've had our MOT completed today within 45 minutes and we've booked in our service with them for the weekend - they will have a long term customer in us and we'll be happy to recommend them to anyone.”
“After searching for a cheap M.O.T. I ended up booking with Mr Clutch (Leyton). On arrival I was dealt with quickly by a friendly guy at the desk. I returned to collect the car and noticed the mechanic still working, he spoke to me about a small issue and was super helpful. I'd paid online so collected my certificate and left.
