“The site has always in the past been very good under the previous manager, whilst i am sure the new manager is very good at what he does, there are signs that perhaps the attention to detail is not as good as it once was, being a loyal customer who has spent a lot of money in the site in the last few years, as well as introduced friends to the site as well, it is a little worrying as to whether that original level of Customer service previously enjoyed, and particularly the recognition of the value of previous spend is taken into consideration when quoting for work that needs to be carried out.
I appreciate that nobody gets anything for nothing, but a reasonable discount for continued good custom should be offered as a default, and not necessarily just after having being asked for.
All of the above said, the standard of work is still good, and i am sure that where the change of manager is concerned it may just be a "bedding in" period that's required before he recognises some of the work he needs to do, to keep loyal customers coming back time after time.
If i had completed this review 12 months or even 6 months ago, it would have been a 5* rating, as it is, with the above and also the fact that the Customer waiting area was not in good order (ripped chairs, old newspapers strewn around, telly not working etc) i have to unfortunately change that down to a 4* rating instead.

“Could you please tell me why I booked my MOT online and was charged £28-00 when there is a sign on the wall outside saying MOT £26-00. My colleague at work did the same and he got it for £26-00. That is the reason I went there.”

1.5 hours. When I returned it was ready apart from waiting 5mins for the antibacterial spray smell to ease a bit.
Unfortunately at my next call at a local tyre outlet the fitter found two caps left on the bonnet so I had to return to Mr Clutch to get then put on properly”

“Work was done fine at a very competitive price. My only complaint is about the chaotic mix of automated and manual systems that the company uses. You select a branch, a date for the work, book and pay for it using using an online system. You then get an email asking you to phone the branch to get an appointment time(?!). When you arrive at the branch you are 'requested' to fill in a paper form which which asks the same questions as the online system did. Why? The desk sergeant at the branch was most insistent. He even had the cheek to mutter something about it being 'part of the contract' when I remonstrated. What cobblers...”
“Always visit Mr Clutch for my MOT and have always had good service. They are very good value for MOTs, much cheaper than anywhere else, but always efficient.”
“Quick and efficient but more could be done for customers who choose to wait rather than find something else to do (e.g. more seats, coffee machine etc)”
“Booked an MOT online, then tried to cancel the next morning, no offer of a refund, with the reasoning being that they would be unable to re book the slot, I found this hard to believe as they were almost 100% booked for that week and the slot that i had booked was the last one available.
I was told i could change the booking to another day which i requested for next year however was told the diary only went as far ahead as july.
I was told that they would pass on my complaint to head office to review however i have had no contact.
updated 21/04 - following my above raised issue I did have a call from the customer services team who have refunded my mot charge, I am very happy with how this has been resolved and would not hesitate in using mr clutch again.”
