Best buy EVER! I hadn't had a period for 10 years due to the coil. When I got it removed and started having periods it was quite a shock for me. I'm not good with blood for a start so that didn't help! I hated wearing pads as they made me feel dirty and like I couldn't do or wear certain things and I don't like tampons (chemicals, string, uncomfortable, etc) Bought the cup. Initially I bought the wrong size. Once I'd realised this, after having a bit of a traumatic first try, MoonCup sent me the correct size for free! So I already felt very supported and cared about as a customer. The first 3 months take getting used to, to be honest. The first month, I really hated it. I found it awkward, worrying and a bit confusing. It took me AGES to get it out. BUT I persisted as the reviews on here said it takes a few cycles to get your head round it. The second month was a little easier, but I still wasn't convinced. Still awkward. The third month felt a lot better - I'd figured out the best fold of the cup for me to insert and I figured out how to remove it without feeling worried. After that I have never looked back! This is my 6th cycle with it and I LOVE it! Easy to insert & easy to remove. No pads, No mess, No worries. I can wear anything, do anything and can't feel anything! HIGHLY recommend this! Give it until your 4th cycle to make a decision on using it permanently - you'll be surprised how amazing it is!!

I love my Mooncup. I genuinely am kicking myself for taking this long to try it; I feel free, and at home in my body,. There is an adjustment period, and I can imagine that the 'getting up in there and personal with yourself' approach may not be for everyone. However, as someone coming from towels and a brief trial of period underwear, I find it really freeing to have moved to a less 'messy' method and one which helps me feel less like some sort of blood-ridden leper every month. The Mooncup lets me still feel sexy and desirable on my period. For those coming from tampons, I imagine the Mooncup would give additional flexibility - it can be left in longer, and avoids the discomfort of removing a half-dry tampon, or navigating tampon use when swimming or using the bathroom. I appreciate being more plugged in to my body and its biology. On top of all that, the sustainability of it being multi-use helps me feel like a better citizen of the planet, and I appreciate not having bags and boxes of towels building up in the cupboard. Thank you, Mooncup!

I was unsure if a Mooncup would be right for me but I was so grateful for the support beforehand and then during a few teething problems that I had. I was so impressed by the quality of the support and the help given, it made all the different. A special thanks to Nicky and I really recommend Mooncup 😊

I have been a Mooncup user for almost 20 years now and I wouldn't be without it. It is so much more comfortable, cost effective and better for the environment. It's also safer for us and the environment with no commercial dyes or chemicals used in the product itself. Seriously, give it a go and you won't regret it.

It's a fantastic idea but unfortunately just didn't work for me. I could insert it easily and it felt comfortable when it was in place but it poked out and rubbed against my underwear as soon as I started to move. I trimmed the stem and it still poked out. If there was a smaller size available I would definitely give it another go!

I found it difficult to insert and it felt very uncomfortable. Maybe I would do better with a smaller size but I went with what was recommended on the website. I've never got on with tampons as I hate the dry feeling, but read reviews saying I should get on with a Mooncup. It didn't feel dry but it was very uncomfortable trying to break the seal to get it back out, even when I'd used lubricant to get it in. Will not be spending money to try again.

I have extreamly heavy periods to the point I use maternity pads. The mooncup has allowed me to be able to go from hourly changes to several hours. It’s takes a bit to get used to but it’s well worth it! Thank you x

Brilliant! I have thought about these cups for a while but kept putting it off as I do have heavy periods, finally tried it today and I love it. Easy to insert and it holds everything well only thing is I do go to the bathroom and change it more than a tampon but it’s not a problem

I was on the fence about trying moon cups, but was keen to move away from tampons to something more sustainable and less wasteful so finally took the plunge. The cup has basically replaced them for me, but I still use liners on very light days. It took a few tries to get the technique, and can now get it in and out without stress. I've found it quite comfortable to wear the majority of the time. I haven't had to trim the tip, and after a trial period without any leaks now trust it and have that peace of mind (obviously will be flow depending based on how heavy you are). The website was very helpful with folding methods, information about cleaning etc. The bag is useful for discreet storage too. Would recommend to anyone wanting to give cups a try. Shipping was very quick too!

First time user of the Mooncup, I have very heavy periods (Niagara falls type situation) I speed a lot of money on sanitary products each month as I have to triple protect from leaks. The Mooncup was recommended by a couple of people so I went for the larger/heavy Mooncup. Unfortunately, the change time for me is not 4-hours (its a lot less), and I am still required to protect against leaks sanitary towels. However, all that said I am still using the Mooncup. As I am spending less on sanitary products, and on the comparatively lighter days the change time is around the 4-6hour mark. Recommendations: When out and about (if possible) use a disabled toilet if available so you can rinse out the cup, I know that it states to bring a bottle of water with you but, I always forget. Also position yourself directly over the toilet as it can get embarrassing when droplets hit the floor and there is that gap at the bottom of the toilet doors. First couple of wears are uncomfortable but as you get more apt as inserting and using the Mooncup it becomes less intrusive. Hope the above is helpful feedback.

I have used a mooncup since 2008 and barely had any problems prior to having children. Since having children I have started using it again and it feels more uncomfortable and does not fit as well as earlier. I bought size A but feels that it sits too low. I trimmed the stem but just doesn't feel as comfortable as earlier.

The mooncup customer service is spot on. They helped me with getting the right size moon cup after i found my first one a bit difficult and helped me with other advise on using it. I love the fact i am not throwing crappy products in the bin and doing my bit for the environment. It has taken me a couple of go's to get the hang of it but i now feel so comfortable 'down there'. I used to wash sanitary pads but was getting fed up of the hassle of washing and how bulky they feel to wear. The mooncup changes this completely and im so glad i made the switch.

Mooncup is amazing! I have severe periods (i have endo) so to be able to rely on this cup has made my life so much better. On my light days i can leave it in all day and not even think about it, on my heavier days i empty it a few times throughout the day but in comparison to the vast amount of tampons i want through this is literally a game changer. I do wear a liner on my heavy days more for peace of mind but its very rare i leak through. It was a bit tricky to master getting it in at first, you have to really relax and know how you feel inside (don't be shy ladies) i found the C fold the best for inserting. I also found it easier to put in, in the shower until i mastered it completely, now I'm able to do it in the toilet whilst standing up. At 1st i bought the size B as recommended for my age etc.. but after 2 months of trying it out i was getting leaking and i could feel a pressure so i emailed Mooncup for advice as i didn't want to give up, they were so helpful, they asked me a lot of questions to try figure out what was the cause of the leaking and pressure. I was soon told that even though they recommend certain sizes, woman are all different so it turned out i needed the A size. I was told to destroy the one i had and that they'd send me the correct size in the post free of charge. Within a few days i had my new mooncup. I trimmed the stem to my preferred length and off i went with a cup that worked perfectly. I really can't fault these guys. They've been incredibly helpful and the product is genuinely amazing. 👌 Great for the environment, ive saved an absolute fortune on sanity products alone just in 2 months! You can swim without worrying people might see the string!! Honestly if your thinking about trying a mentrual cup, don't think just buy one and change your life. I will NEVER use another tampon again so long as these guys are around. Although if looked after properly these cups last 10 years. You do the math on the cost of sanitary products over 10 years. Thank me later ladies 🚺 😘

Mooncups are life changing. I completely forget I have my periods while wearing one. The tip if a bit long long, just cut it with scissors. It's not useful anyway, I grab the base of the cup to get it out, not that protrusion.

Very comfortable and easy to use. This is my second one and I will always come back to Mooncup when it is time to replace it. Couldn't recommend it enough.!

Tried it a few times and then gave up, one day when I forgot to buy pads, I thought sod it I'll give it another go and honestly I'll never look back! It's so much less stress, less mess, better for the environment and best of all, reusable!!

Just bought my second mooncup after 15 years with the first. I was reluctant to take the plunge when I first got one but after a little practice got used to it very quickly. It's so much more comfortable than pads or tampons and saves so much money! And my main win is the environmental benefit. The customer service was some of the best I've received - friendly, kind, very helpful and knowledgable responses that really helped me choose the size best for me. Can't recommend them enough!

I made the switch from pads and tampons to the mooncup 2 months ago and i'm glad i took the plunge. It's much easier to use than i thought. I usually have one or two nights of very heavy flow, a tampon + pad was sometimes not enough, and also very messy. To my surprise the mooncup proved much much better at coping with the night flow, only a tiny leak once. The only downside is needing running water to rinse it out before reinserting. I work from home so that it is'nt so much of a problem, but using public toilets would definately be inconvinient. I guess taking a bottle of water to rinse is an option. But the main reason why i bought the mooncup is that it's better for our world. I was sick of shelling out money on pads and tampons that were environmentally damaging.

After considering whether or not to buy a Mooncup I finally decided to take the plunge a few months ago. My period flow can be erratic with occasional flooding and then very light flow which made tampons problematic as I either had to change them every couple of hours to avoid leaks or they left me too dry. The Mooncup has helped massively as I can insert it and then forget about it for most of the day. Heavy flow or light flow, doesn’t matter. One problem I had initially was some leakage - I thought it wasn’t working properly, but I discovered when I inserted the Mooncup it hadn’t unfolded fully. I have to check it has ‘popped’ back into shape once inserted, but once I realised that I have not had any issue at all. I haven’t been brave enough to trim the stem yet, as it sometimes moves quite high (especially overnight) but once I am more confident that I will be able to remove it without the stem I will do that. This will help with comfort as I am occasionally aware of the stem, but it is only uncomfortable rather than painful. Overall, it took me a little getting used to, but I highly recommend this as it has allowed me to ‘forget’ all about my period, especially when I am busy at work and can’t ensure regular bathroom breaks.
