“This is for an order of 4 pine doors: Doors seem ok. Some scratches and dents apparent. This was because they were very poorly packaged. ( they were covered in polythene only. ) Doors I have bought elsewhere came wrapped in polythene and all corners and edge's had plastic strips on them to protect them too. Followed by cardboard outer packaging. These doors are close to £100 each hence this is a poor show. Delivery was very slow too. Ordered on a Thursday and were delivered 9 days later.”

“Having dealt with finewood and other such companies there returns policy are spot on however this is not the case with moda I had a door that was delivered damaged and because I couldn't get to the doors within 14 days the weren't interested thus leaving me with a damaged 200 pound door absolute joke will nor be ordering again”

Hi there, Many thanks for taking the time to leave your review. I have taken a look into this order and can see that your order was placed on 01/12/2021 and subsequently delivered on 06/12/2021. It was not until 24/01/2022 that the issue was raised with us but as you confirmed that you had worked upon and fitted the door, we were unable to offer a replacement item. We do advise all customers to check and ensure all goods are suitable before any work commences. Since then, we did offer a discounted replacement however at the time of writing we have heard nothing from you. If you wish to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact us. “Excellent fire resistant internal door. Packaging was not enough to prevent minor damage to door edges but not bad enough to warrant return. The door is VERY HEAVY; the labelling should make it clear that safe manual handling requires two people for ALL HANDLING. I only found this information after I hand moved the door inside and removed the packing! The door needed 40 mm removal to fit the door frame; this does not seem to have affected the door structure altho it clearly invalidates any guarantee. Be aware that the recommended Osmo lacquer is not cheap.”

“Mix up with order (their fault, not ours), but they were quick to rectify. So nice to speak to a real person when contacting Customer Services. Doors not the best, but as we were only purchasing 3 of their primed flush doors they were more than adequate for what we needed.”

“I purchased 16 Coventry doors. They arrived without any notice. The first door I opened was of poor quality, paint drips all over it and a depressed area where it looked like an internal baton had sunk. Moda insisted I opened all 16 doors but they also wanted the items to be perfectly packed if being returned. They wanted me to pay for the returns escalating the delivery price from £97 to £304. Very disappointed with the quality and service, they don't even answer the phone any more.”

Hi Phil, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your order with us. For context, the doors ordered were supplied in a primed finish meaning some areas will have paint drips and rough areas. We do advise online that these doors do require sanding before final finishing can take place. Really sorry that this was beyond your expectations of primed doors. In regards to the "defect", we asked yourself to provide evidence of the bowed / sunk baton but received nothing to support this claim. We did inform you that this would be investigated if this evidence was presented but without it there is nothing we can do. As no evidence of a defect to this one door was presented to us, We gave you the choice to return the items yourself or you could use our collection service which typically would be chargeable. As our collection service is a separate service from delivery, this price for this differs and is subjective. This is also not compulsory, you have the right to organise your own return and are not bound to our collection service in any way. Upon further discussion regarding the collection, a free of charge collection was subsequently offered to you but you then informed us that you had decided to keep the doors. From this, we were then unable to offer a FOC collection on items which had been worked upon. Overall, it is disappointing to have received a 1 star review when we offered the assistance you had requested by means of collecting the goods. “The doors came with a lot of damage around the edges. I have been in contact with the company and sent all the evidence. I was told to send them back which is involved a lot of hassle and we already organised with the joiner to fit them. So we agreed for a £50 refund compensation for me to keep them. Unfortunately, I am still waiting for it.”
