“D8 Battery Compartment Covers. Unfortunately one of the supplied battery covers had the the pair of rubber strips missing. these actually pack out the batteries and prevent them moving in the compartment and breaking the electrical contact . I have overcome this by removing these from my damaged cover and reinstalling in the replacement. Disappointed that it was sent out like this, particularly at the price! I suspect this was a Leica packaging problem, and cost again is a Leica policy. Delivery time etc was fine, although I was surprised at being charged VAT for postage. Ken Towner FireCad”
