“Ordered the Rich English Fruit Cake by telephone for a birthday celebration. The person I spoke to was very helpful and the cake arrived the next day. The cake was absolutely delicious, moist with just the right amount of brandy. I will definitely be ordering again in the future.”

“Excellent service. Delivered exactly on the day requested. Well packaged. Was somewhat alarmed to see the DPD courier on the door camera carrying the cake on it's side under her left arm as she pressed the doorbell at 08:50:08am. The box did have "Fragile" tape on it, but maybe the box should have a "Perishable. This way up!!" label on it too? Thankfully the cake (which is reviewed separately) survived intact.”

“Utterly blown away with the quality and taste of this cake ! Ordered one for Christmas arrived very quickly and was complimented by all who had some. Very lucky to be able to purchase another from the emergency stock in the new year! Will be placing more orders in the future as the professionalism and quality of Meg Rivers cakes are hard to find! Exceeded expectations in every way, so much we also now own the book incase an “emergency cake” is needed !”

“I bought a special edition coffee and walnut cake for a birthday at book club. It was well received and the flavour excellent. But the cake was a bit dry and the birthday girl felt some filling would have made this tasty cake first class.”

“Absolutely delicious cake. Moist, dense but somehow not heavy, and very fresh. I ordered two for just the two of us, and we ate both of them in huge wedges within a few days! We did this utterly unashamedly, despite all of our friends joining gyms and beginning thinning diets for January ... but of course, they did not get to try the lovely cakes, so had no reason to stray from the path of abstinence and asceticism. I do wish this were available more often, because I should buy it at least monthly, and very likely fortnightly, if it were. I did prefer it to Meg Rivers's other ginger cake, on which I was not keen. Somehow it did not hit the spot, but this one did. I loved the pieces of ginger on the top, the stickiness, and the overall perfection of this cake. I shall order again whenever I can. I had thought that nothing could match Meg Rivers's gorgeous cherry cake, but this one definitely did.”

To open an investigation or complaint we start with photographs of the product to establish where there might be an issue.
