Very concise and interesting. The delivery is both impactful and often hilarious. It’s like a cross between a stand up routine and a grand round.

Well balanced course between slides and practical Didn't over advertise the use of joint injections versus exercises and self-help The models to practice on do however bear little resemblance to reality. Wouldn't it be more helpful to use the fake needles (as in the video) to get a feel of the actual anatomy?

Fantastic Course. The content and its delivery was top notch, and kept us all engaged and active for the whole two days. Venue and food also great.

The course overall was really good and I would recommend. The quality of the speakers was high - I think Mike was clearest and the sound quality for the others was not so good. The venue was great - nice size, healthy options for food which were appreciated, good temp, loos ok, free parking, easy to get to with plenty of hotels available - I would love to come back to this venue again and again. The course was a good mix of practical skills and useful info. Personally I felt it would be better split into those people wanting to do basic skills in GP eg what is ok on DES, suturing techniques, cysts, lipomas etc and joint injections. with more practical experience. and a second day on skin lesions and dematoscopy. I felt the cautery/electro cautery might be better placed for those wanting to extend their scope as the equipment is expensive and most GPs wouldn't have access to this for a DES for minor ops. overall it was engaging and enjoyable. I did worry there may be a few who didnt grasp basic concepts who might then go on to practice as the DOPS assessment and MCQs were pretty informal.

All very good and useful tips learned , presentations good, liked the quiz. Food lovely and nice venue. Only 'complaint' is that Dr Duncan Hill was difficult to hear, kept missing what he was saying, even with a microphone. Lots of people said this as unfortunately his voice does not project well and he can sometimes mumble a little. Sorry to say this , other speakers very clear and easy to hear. Good course, better than previous ones I have done

Good presenters and group size. Helpful presentations and practice on shoulders, lower limb and upper limb. Would have liked to have had a bit more information about logistics of doing joint injection within GP surgery - time needed to assess what injection is needed, time and resources needed to do injection, dedicated joint injection clinics or ad hoc during surgeries. Also more information about common pitfalls of joint injections in GP surgery setting. Perhaps some case studies would have helped. I will be starting to do joint injections as a result of this course. Thank you or giving me the confidence to do this.

Very good course, covering not just joint injection, but musculoskeletal problems more generally.

Pleased with content and presentation of course. Could have covered areas such as Tenosynovitis / metatarsalgia which were not touched.

Exactly the course I needed to give me the confidence and knowledge to begin performing injections in my practice. The additional musculoskeletal assessment skills taught were a welcome bonus!

I attended the 2 day minor surgery course in Birmingham. The course was excellent....! It covered the basics well, supported by practical sessions. The groups were small of approx 20 attendees. The subject matter was relevant and practical. The highlight was definately the enagaging presenter , who was able to share his experiences with the audience. The venue was ideal, easy to find, ample parking at reasonable cost, comfortable seats and lots of space. Ample drinks and good food was an advantage. Well done team .. definately one of the best courses I have attended. A few minor points to feedback. I would have preferred if joint injections was an entirely seperate course so more time could be given to minor ops. I did have some issues booking onto the course when I was given incorrect information, but this was quickly rectified by Tom. Well done. AI

I feel the course was delivered by instructors who were clearly experienced. They sought to ensure all participants left feeling equipped with a broad range of practical skills and knowledge. I would recommend this course to any clinician seeking to undertake minor surgical procedures in the Primary Health care setting.

The course was very informative, day 1 was more targeted to my needs as I was looking to learn more minor surgery skills with suturing and wounds and lumps and bumps. Day 2 - unfortunately was not as good, as a GP I am already aware of melanoma, but understand the need to cover this. Could have been more quiz based and brief. The shoulder joint station, was not as good as the hand and elbow station. It could be improved by showing more videos and giving more time to what we were doing, as we were rushed, and still finished early. Maybe some equipment to try out the technique of cryotherapy would have been interesting. The course organisers present, very approachable and helpful. Overall a great course and good value for money.
