“This was an excellent course that I really enjoyed! 2 days is just the right amount of time to familiarise with minor surgery techniques and have the opportunity to apply learning into practical sessions. I would highly recommend this course.”

“Mike and Duncan took us through the course very nicely and balanced information with great stuff to keep the group engaged. The anecdotes, jokes and top tips were just fantastic into helping anyone launch into independent minor surgery practice with confidence! Would definitely be looking forward to attending the joint injection course!”

“Really excellent course. I’d done the RCGP one at the RC of Surgeons in Edinburgh a number of years ago and, like Mike said, was one of the 80% who then didn’t do an minor surgery afterwards, but with Mike and Duncan (aided by Tom) I felt that the teaching on the Medical Skills Course was excellent, detailed, with the right level of interaction and fun. The “test” was not scary at all and I felt very supported. Like some weird analogy with a dermal suture I went from being enthusiastic to more reticent with my previous RCS Edinburgh course, whereas with Mike and Duncan’s course I might have been initially worried but became much more enthused and confident about the potential for doing minor surgery by the end.”

“This course helped me to update my skills in minor surgery. It had become a bit rusty during the forced stop as a result of the covid 19 pandemic. The course is suitable for starters and experienced. It is done in a way that keeps the attention with a combination of theory and practice in a good mix. The organisers are very enthusiastic and helpful and know what they are talking about from their current experience backed up with evidence.”

“2nd time been on this course and have to say its probably one of the best courses I’ve been on. Well explained theory, plenty of help, if needed in practice. Both speakers use easy to remember algorithms and humour to keep you engaged. Also very good ideas to set up minor surgery and updating consents, safety procedures, etc. If you’re looking for a Moin it surgery course, you can’t do better than this. Will probably come again in 3 years”
