“My first bodrhan was a Pakistani hand drum. I used it with my group until the goat head split. I put it away years ago and moved away from Celtic music. My search for a proper bodrhan took me to McNeela. I found a gorgeous drum at a great price. I am overjoyed at its construction and tone. I’m back in the saddle!”

“I love my bodhran. It was delivered quickly and was in great condition. I did not receive the email that explained how to access my free lessons, but when I contacted McNeela they gave me the information I needed. I would recommend the wave bodhran to anyone wanting to have fun.”

“The Mcneela blackwood wooden flute works right, sounds right and is properly balanced. I felt like the flute was shipped with enough packing materials to send eggs to the moon with, and I like to see instruments treated that way! (Shipped to USA)”

“My B-stock African blackwood flute came in a great case and nicely packaged for shipping. There were a few stray dings and some rough edges to the cut holes, but it played very nicely. I love the sound! I've been playing whistle for years (my favorite is the Setanta brass D whistle with delrin fipple, which my wife bought me for Christmas a few years back) and played a Boehm flute years ago, but am still quite rusty on my new flute. I'm looking forward to figuring out out! This was a great affordable entry into the world of the Irish flute!”

“I recently received my 16" Non-tuneable Bodhran from McNeela's and I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase. Yes, there is something extraordinary about a bodhran (this is my second) that perhaps goes back to the most elemental sound of fingers or stick on hide and the symphony of vibrations that the bodhran is capable of. I particularly like to hum or sing through those vibrations, great serious fun! McNeela's provided plenty of information on their website for me to choose carefully the instrument I felt I needed and it arrived promptly here in Albuquerque, NM, where I now treasure it. “Great service the whistle was sent as soon as the order was received and I was notified. I live in Australia so it took 4 months to get here but I expected that I was glad it got here at all. It was packaged nicely and arrived in perfect condition not even a scratch 😊”
