“1) lists US Dollar prices on website then charges in Euro at a higher price which also incurs multiple foreign transaction fees - this is literally false advertisement and I would have purchased elsewhere had I known. 2) Cancelled part of the order without notifying (which interestingly enough was the sole reason I wanted to order. 3) One of the items broke shortly after received it (backpack zipper) - obviously poor quality. 4) They never responded to a single email querying pricing, charges, products, and quality and I sent about six of them.”

“This is my first Irish flute, and I've only been playing it for a month, so I still have to make the most of its features, improve my own technique, and consider that I'm a smoker. Below, I detail its virtues and defects: Virtues: -Beautiful wooden Irish flute sound. Complex. Mild, if controlled. Strong, if required. -Strong, serious, woody lower octave. -Strong and clear bottom re. -Good tuning. -Excellent finishes, design and detail. Defects: -It can be blocked with saliva if you don't have good technique. -It can be a little heavy during the first month. -The upper octave requires extra control of the embouchure and breathing. In short, I recommend this flute for its price, quality and great sound. Note: I recommend applying almond oil to the outside and inside of the flute in a good amount once a week. The sound will improve considerably. I am attaching audio played without any effect for greater understanding. Greetings from Chile.”

“Excellent! A 5+ score from me. Naturally, McNeela have Naturally, McNeela have to promote their merchandise, as indeed does every commercial entity. Luckily for their customers, McNeela goes about that task in a manner that calls to mind the motto from the 1920s attributed to Lord Reith, director of the (then) fledgling BBC, namely "Inform, Educate, Entertain". Yes, they INFORM us about what they're selling - but they also EDUCATE their customers via regularly showing a range of trad tunes suited to the instruments they sell - and in the process they ENTERTAIN us via YouTube clips of those same tunes played by expert exponents!”
