“I have to say that I am a little disappointed with MCN's insurance comparison site. I was hoping that in line with the words spoken in the radio advertisements, that MCN the motorcycle experts would have been able to negotiate better terms on the policies offered. However, the results yielded by my searches, are no more competitive than any of the other comparison sites out there.”

“The original price i was qouted was good, i then went back on to buy the next day and the price had doubled. I was told by a friend that works in insurance it was due to the faxt i wasn't a first time user of the website anymore. Rather disappointing”

“The comparison tool was good, it’s all the other stuff after you’ve entered your details that’s the problem. You’re aggressively phoned minutes after being offered a quote. Often by multiple insurance companies bidding for your business. It’s desperate behaviour. I’d use this again because some companies aren’t on go compare, and then turn my phone off to not be hassled. Sometimes I’m just interested in knowing what the price would be so I can save up for it, not sign on the dotted line right away”

“Website OK. MCN insurance service was a big disappointment. The renewal price was higher which I would have taken but their phone service was rubbish so I had to go elsewhere. And the on the day MCN were phoning me to say they had found out they could do it cheaper. I HATE THAT NONSENSE and expect better of MCN brand.”

“I used to be insured through mcn then of course that collapsed. I took out another policy elsewhere to keep the bike covered. I used the new compare site recently an took out a new policy with bennetts. Mcn also renewed the old old policy that they cancelled at the same time. Still owing £30. How is any of this legal?”

“On face value I thought this was good, gave me lots to compare for the options that I wanted. But because I have a brand new bike, the system couldn't find the new registration and I had to do it over the phone. I called 4 of the 'known' companies and none would honour the quote that the compare system gave me and 3 out of 4 couldn't find the quote reference. To that end, I spent nearly 4 hours on the phone. So overall it was a complete waste of time doing.”

“No one knew about my bike, it was difficult to find someone who knew my bike (Royal Enfield classic350 reborn).i tried twice,first time I was told if it wasn't listed it couldn't be insured. Second time was better but it wasmore expensive than i thought it would be.(i had checked the price of a royal Enfield 350 classic as a guide).i used mcn compare because it compared more companies than others.”

“I found the questions in the application confusing. One asked whether I had ever had an accident or claim. Inspection of my car insurance record showed that my wife had hit a pole. We reported that but made no claim. Plainly it was not my accident. How that could be said to increase my insurable risk is quite beyond me. MCN increased my premium by 50%! I needed the cover quickly and just had to accept this but it really annoyed me. I may say that I also felt irritated by the layout of the form in relation to convictions. The form asked whether I had any non-motoring convictions and I said "no". The next question asked for details of convictions and I assumed that this related to the preceding question and did not complete it. I accept that I should have been more careful and have no real complaint about having to pay a further £30 in respect of an undisclosed speeding offence However, I was not "convicted" of any speeding offence. I had accepted the penalty. I feel the layout was calculated to mislead.”

“Hi ot loads of decent quotes all of which changed once I completed the online forms for each company. Sone as much as £180. Waste of time really ended up going back to my current insurance company in the end wanted a multi bike policy as I have more then one bike all on different policy’s”

“I input my details, the quotes came back, I accepted onefrom a company called Onecall, entered my payment details and 3 hours later I was just getting on the bike and I received an email stating that they were declining the insurance Without giving a reason so I couldn't go out.on my ride.”

“To who it may concern.I ask for a quote from you.you gave me some quotes which I was very thankful.when I chose one that I felt was a good deal I phoned the number that you gave.to my disappointment it was not you that I was dealing with.I needed insurance at that time so I had to pay an extra 70 pounds to a broker.even after I had taken out a policy you kept asking to take out a policy with you.even now I don’t know what is going on when you give a quote with a number to call and then ask if I would like to take out a policy with you.I hope you read this.again thank you for your help but I don’t think you have got your compare site quit right.”
