Have a phone with broken screen with no display but in full working condition (I can mirror its screen to my TV and use the phone) Repairing it costs equal to its original price so I sent this to Mazuma, they initially evaluated at £ 20. After they received the phone, they said the phone isn't powering up and offered to pay £ 5 for it. I didn't trust them and of course wanted them to send the phone back rather than selling for £ 5 I received the phone (which is the only reason for the 2 stars instead of 1 star) and the phone powered up even before charging. I connected it to a screen and was showing %15. Their customer services said "our technicians will tag device as no power on if the device will not meet the percentage of the battery they require when they charge the phone." Looking at some other similar reviews, I think they simply tried to scam me into giving it up for £ 5 .. I understand there are people that are happy with their services so just beware before trusting them

Scam artists. Tried to claim my Pixel 2 XL had screen burn. Changing my quote from £120 to £0. Needless to say I rejected that offer. Sent it to EE recycling who gave me £118, oh yeah no screen burn. Scam.

Same MO I’m afraid, an eight month old XS sent in, pre-declared with the damage, to then receive a counter offer of £50, from the original £285, avoid the agro. Let’s see how long it takes for the ya dawg to come back!

I wrote a negative review on here about Mazuma mobile and gave them 2 stars but I want to revert my rating and give them a 1 star because I took my Samsung S7 to Carphonewarehouse today and they've done a thorough technical check and they found no issue at all! I got the full offer of £70! I think Mazuma phones want brand new phones! I don't recommend them at all.

The original quote was £80 for my Samsung S7 mobile phone with no major issues. I was still using it until the upgrade to a new phone. I post it but they offered me only £5 due to a screen burn that I was not aware of. I sent it with its original box. I rejected the offer and asked for it to be returned back. It took them 1 week where I had to chase, and when I opened the box it was not sent back with its original box, it was a box of an iPhone! Not too organised.

If it were possible to give this company a minus star rating I would as they are the worst company I have had the misfortune to deal with. Having been given an initial quote of £120 for my Samsung Galaxy S8, which has been in a case with a screen protector from day 1 and was in perfect working order I had the figure reduced to £25 as it supposedly had screen burn. This would appear to be their go-to excuse for reducing if they cannot find fault with the case etc. From reading all the other reviews on here it would seem I am not the only one by a long shot who has had this experience. I informed them immediately that their insulting offer was rejected and to return the phone. After hearing nothing more for two days I emailed and asked what was happening and received a response on the 8th November 2019 from Marianne, some Social Media Executive, informing me that the phone would be back with me within 3 to 5 working days. Having heard nothing more and with no sign of my phone I called them direct and asked for the carrier and a tracking number, which I was eventually given and found out that the phone hadn't even been posted off to me until 13th but was due to be delivered back on the 15th November, 10 days after I initially asked for it back. I now await to see what state it comes back in as when I sent it I had put it in the original box to protect it, so if there is any damage I will be back to them for recompense, as I also took photographic evidence of the state of the phone prior to my sending it to them. The simple lesson to be learnt is for this Company to be avoided at all costs as they are a set of scammers and liars.

So Mazuma received my iPhone 7 Plus on the 25th October. They amended the offer due to a “faulty screen” which I’m not fussed about now. Like everyone else on here I know it isn’t as the screen is brand new, I’ll just sell it elsewhere. Problem is they STILL haven’t sent me my phone back well over 2 weeks later. I’m not being updated on anything and seems to me like they’ve lost my phone. I’ve sent them yet another email today but not sure where to go after here. I just want my phone back now, this is ridiculous.

Liars. Claimed my phone needed a new LCD screen as it had a yellow mark on it. I have only just stopped using it because Apple do not support it anymore. It had no yellow marks a couple of weeks ago. Currently waiting for its return. Oh and the reject link in their emails does not work, so I have had to email them. Waste of time in my opinion.

Avoid - I sent my iphone7s which was in perfect condition, had always been in a case with a screen saver, I even sent it in its original box, which is very sturdy, and I wrapped the box in bubblefilm before putting it in a mailing bag. You could have dropped a pallet on it. They emailed me to say it had a cracked screen and could only offer £60. I emailed and told them it didn't have a cracked screen, and couldn't have been damaged in transit either it was so well wrapped. They emailed back saying how expert their analysts were and they would send photographs, then they emailed to say it didn't have a cracked screen but it had a chip in the top right corner and they would send photographs, then they emailed to say the chip could not be seen with the naked eye so couldn't send photographs. I told them to return it when it came back I took it to CEX and they offered me £175.

I recently sent an Apple iPhone 6 32GB EE in perfect condition. They had offered me £50 but I received an email to say there was a problem and it was "classed as Dead - Bent chassis" so they revised their offer to £5 instead. The phone had always had a cover on, and had never been dropped so I've no idea what they are talking about. I've requested they return the phone and I'll try and recycle it elsewhere.

WARNING: Mazuma violates its own price promise by revising down offers made based on accurate descriptions of the phones they receive. When I submitted my phone, I described it as chipped and was quoted £280. When they tested my phone they provided an updated value of £40 on the basis the phone was chipped. Their website states that "Provided your device is received as described, you'll receive the full value". This is patently false.

Same issue as everyone else here, I would avoid like the plague. They quoted: “Apple iPhone X 64GB Unlocked classed as Dead - Cracked/Chipped rear fixed glass.”. I have uploaded a photo of it just to prove how ridiculous the comment is. They originally offered £370, now offering £50 which is pretty much theft for an almost perfect condition iPhone.

I wish I had read the reviews first. It looks like I have had the same bad experience as many others with Mazuma. I sent my phone which is in near perfect condition. They had offered £60, but this was reduced to £20 because there was a very slight yellow mark on the lcd screen that can only be seen by a professional when the screen is pure white. So the phone has to be 100% mint condition or they will not pay the full price they initially offer and give you some very poor offer. Now I want my phone back so I can sell it at a high street store who have offered me more than £60 but Mazuma say it won’t be return for 3-5 working days. I personally feel it us a con because my phone is near perfect and I used it for a year and never noticed this supposed yellow mark on the lcd. They will find any tiny problem to give you a poor price. Mazuma if you are reading this SEND ME MY PHONE BACK, so I can sell it on high street and get an honest price.

Please avoid this company. I was quoted £205 for a 128gb unlocked iPhone 7 Plus in fine working order with only light scratches to the screen. They did process the phone in a timely manner, but have just contacted me to say the quote is now £75. This is based on the screen apparently being 'cracked'. As many others have said, I sent my phone in bubblewrap and a tightly sealed protective envelope. This is very concerning and I am now hoping to recieve my phone back quickly.

I am very grateful to this site and honest reviews. I sent my iPhone SE to Mazuma after getting an online quote of £60. It was received on 26th September. Four days later I received this email:"Apple iPhone SE 64GB Unlocked classed as Faulty - Defective LCD screen. Yellow mark in display. Mostly visible on white background. New LCD screen required. Halo" I was very shocked. Having by then seen the reviews on this site, I didn't engage in any discussion but asked for the phone to be returned which it promptly was. Today I took the phone into a local dealer. On inspection he said it was clean and in good condition. He gave me £70 and seemed pleased with the purchase - as was I! I'm not sure what we can do about what seems to be very dodgy practice? Except advise people not to use Mazuma.

After reading the reviews here, I was 99% convinced I wasn’t going to get my money or that my phone would be declared damaged. I sent my phone by special delivery. It got delivered the next day, with an email confirmation. After 2pm had past, I contacted Mazuma using the online chat on their website. Chatted with a representative who said the order might not get processed today as they are experiencing delays. After a few harsh words, I said I would wait until the next day. To my surprise, I got an email later that evening to say the order had been processed and got my payment within a few minutes of the email, as quoted earlier. No issues. The reviews here were so off putting, I had actually convinced myself they were going to scam me but my experience was totally the opposite. Knocking off one star because of the unnecessary stress from the online chat but I guess they were playing it safe. Overall, very satisfied with my experience.

Not the company they used to be. Offered a slightly higher price, then said the screen was damaged, it wasn't. Got it sent back and got the full offered price elsewhere. They are scammers. AVOID

They lie about damage. Phone has a screen protector on it which was chipped. They offered me 65% less. Declined it and got my phone back and sent it to another site for the correct amount.
