This used to always be my go to phone company. However, this time my blood is boiling!! The customer service team are useless and unbothered when things go wrong. My phone was meant to have been sent back to me in November 2021 it is now March 2022 and yet I still have no phone. Mazuma are now saying my phone was lost in transit. Why did I only find this out once I called them despite them saying in January 2022 that a claim will be made? Seems like an amazing trust worthy company until you reject their offer. Feels like Mazuma have kept my phone and are now trying to blame Royal Mail TRACKED by saying it is lost. Because it’s funny how I am now only receiving the first rubbish offer to cover the loss of my phone. I’m so disgusted!!

Thank you for the review. Tracking was provided to you, so you could track your device. We were notified at the end of January that you had not received the device, and Royal Mail claims can take 30 working days to conclude. Kind regards Mazuma

Stay away from Mazuma!!! Biggest scammers out there!!! So, I sent an iPad Pro 3rd gen in immaculate condition other than one tiny scratch on the screen. They offered me £420, which was brilliant, please note I hadn’t read the reviews on this site before sending. I run a phone shop and this was an offer that was good and would allow me to make a quick profit. I sent it off and few days later received an email saying “there are yellow marks in display, and there is organic screen degradation”. This was complete and utter bulls***. I’m telling you, I buy phones and iPads and I know how to tell these things and there was no screen degradation of any kind. So they offered £90, which I obviously rejected and I have thankfully received my iPad back in one piece. You would rather sell on eBay, Amazon, take it to your local phone shop or cex store, do not send to these scammers, you will regret it forever like most of the people on this site.

I was offered £400 for iPad Pro 11 , never left house and was in a protective case which included a screen protector. I sent it off after taking photos and video of the iPad, then I was told there was a problem with the screen and they took £120 off ( so £280) I asked for the evidence of the damage that they claim. I was told that I would need to wait no time limit. I was left no choice to accept . As I was desperate for money. I then said that I would need the photos of the damage and was told I could not have them as I accepted the offer. I said I would go for a small claim for the difference as I know I would win the case , told again I would not get the photos . Stay away from mazuma and I wish I had read the reviews on this company. I know they would have got top money for my iPad ( fraud) go to cex in the high street as at least they gave a fair price as mazuma offered way below the amount Cex £350 the day before I sent to mazuma ……. I feel like a fool , never again

Exactly the same as reviews below initially offered a fair price then various scratches and faults detected it’s had a screen protector and case from day one and looked immaculate think I’m going to take my business elsewhere

Sent an imaculate huawei p30 pro for same day payment. Phone was delivered by 8.21am and by 17.30 nothing. Contacted there customer service to be told they are behind and to be patient. Next day at 10am problem with phone , there saying multiple scratches on screen which is a lie and reduced price. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY DONT KEEP PROMISE AND LIE SBOUT CONDITION OF PHONE TO GET IT CHEAPER, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Promised one price, then contact me saying the phone has a bend in it yet I know it doesn't so they say basically it's faulty so instead of the £45 promised they now state it's worth £7.50. Fact is the phone was like new and the only reason I was selling was because I got the latest version, it was working absolutely fine before I upgraded. Not a happy customer so I will have the phone returned and take elsewhere!!

Would not deal with this company again, would rather give the mobile away. Offer one price - pay another

The “We Buy Any Car” of mobile phones. The business model is a simple one; lure punters in with the promise of a fair price for their mobile phones to then mark it down significantly due to so called “damages”. Then it’s just a matter of numbers, some may reject the revised offer but most either do not want the hassle of selling privately or quite simply they just need some money. An utterly morally bankrupt company with no conscience. Customer service is non existent. Call their helpline and ask for photographic evidence of “damage”. Told it would take 2 days. Chased again 5 days later. Told the photos would be sent the same afternoon. Here we are a further 2 days later; nothing. I am shocked there are so many positive reviews because these lot are little more than common thieves.

Really sorry that I didn’t look at this site before I sent off my iPad to mazuma. My experience so far is much the same as other reviews. My iPad was in good condition and only being replaced because I had been given a new one. It always had a cover which fully protected the screen and it was only used in house Again, as others, initially offered over £100 which was reduced to £35 because of marks on the screen. I have refused this and await its return The advice it’s to check on the reviews on this site before considering this company.

Mazuma will always make up a reason why they will not pay the price they agreed. Perfect condition samsung S9 offered £75 they checked it and said it needed new battery and screen, UNTRUE, reduced offer to £30. Complain to their CEO

Quoted £280 for iPhone 11, reduced to £240 because there were scratches on the casing. My partner accepted the offer. However, the phone was in EXCELLENT condition and most definitely did not have any scratches, light or otherwise, in any areas. I was informed by customer services that having a case on the phone can cause light scratches due to dirt etc getting inside the case….they couldn’t provide any evidence of these scratches (obviously) because my partner had already accepted the offer. I honestly don’t feel like I would trust Mazuma again.

Avoid, they give you what you think is a good price then make up faults with the phone to offer a lower price. They also don’t pay the same day.

Avoid complete scammers. Got offered £130 which they revised to £45 due to 'screen burn'. I refused the offer and they then revised it £60 saying we now have an in house team capable of doing repairs (where was this team when you offered £45?). Had the device checked independently and they confirmed it doesn't have screen burn. Mazuma trying it on disgusting! Used a few times previously never again.

Thank you for your review, We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with our service! Unfortunately, as we operate within a strict industry our technicians have to be thorough with their checks. If the devices are found to have damage that needs repairing before resale the best offer would have to be revisited. Is there anything else we can do to help? Best Wishes, Mazuma

Sent two Samsung s10s to them, both phones always from new had screen protectors and were contained in official Samsung LED flip covers. They now want to reduce the value because they say both phones have minor scratches. Rubbish.

If you like getting robbed, then Mazuma is for you! This company have some crafty terms & conditions hidden. After their site recommending I include the charger for my device, I adhered to just that and additionally included the original packaging and documentation. All of said items were in pristine condition as a gesture of goodwill, however upon Mazuma receiving my goods they revised their offering from £120 to £20 due to some minor screen burn-in on the side of the screen (only visible with a white background on full brightness). I refused this offering and they returned the goods, only to find the original packaging, charger, warranty card & documentation was not included - these extras alone equated to £61. Contacting Customer Services, I was immediately in conversation with manager Grace Anderson who showed nothing but pure incompetence and a lack of interest. After attempting to come to an agreement for a week, Mazuma would not yield or offer any form of compensation. The items ‘lost’ were supposedly thrown away due to the lack of space in their warehouse. I am still perplexed as to why they wouldn’t hold onto these items until a decision on the offering had been made, since per their terms and conditions there is no contract formed until the offer has been accepted. Now I have a handset but nothing else, leaving me out of pocket and troubled to resell. Their initial attractive offering is not worth the paper it’s written on - avoid Mazuma Mobile at all costs. I bought an iPhone 12 Pro Max from Mazuma through backmarket.co.uk after six weeks it stopped working I sent it in with secure packaging and they said we have three days to get back to you with either a refund or exchange. I contacted them many times and they kept stalling and I even had to get the company moderator involved. Then after 14 days they sent a picture showing my phone with a broken screen of which I sent it in unbroken with secure break proof packaging and a note saying it’s outside of the warranty because it’s been bent or dropped when I clearly sent it without any damage whatsoever except for the phone not working because it seized on its own. I find this completely unacceptable and have escalated this to the backmarket management team. But don’t buy from these people they will disappoint you. So far looks like £700 down the drain

Don't trust this company , I sent them an iPhone 12 in perfect condition , its been in an Otter Box Defender case and screen protector from the day I bought it, I took 10 photos of the phone which shows it in perfect condition the day I sent it , 3 of the photos are of it in the DPD box when they collected it . They emailed me this morning to saying "Apple iPhone 12 256GB Unlocked Your device has a significant scratch/scratches on the screen that cannot be removed by polishing, therefore the screen will need to be replaced." This is a complete lie , don't trust this company at all .
