“Really happy. Valued my phone online on the Sunday and got offered a decent and fair amount. Recieved the postage kit on the Tuesday, sent my phone to Mazuma on the Wednesday and by tea time on Thursday, the full amount was in my bank. Really really happy.”

“Very disappointed, I sent 2 I-phones, an I-pad 4 and a mini I pad. The mini I-pad had a cracked screen and I appreciated the £5 payment for it. The other 3 items were downgraded from the suggested offers with the I-pad 4 being reduced from £35 to ZERO!! The fault advised was a yellow mark in the screen. How can the I-pad mini be worth more with a cracked screen?! Both the I-phones were stated to have similar screen issues and the 5s was reduced from £15 to £2.50 and the 6s from £30 to £10!! I have given 2 stars for the speed of response to my first enquiry and subsequent prompt supply of packaging etc. Had I had to pay postage to return the items I would be even more annoyed!!”

Good afternoon, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service you received from Mazuma. Unfortunately, your device was found to have a yellow mark within the OLED screen, this comes from age and use of the pixels and so they turn yellow. Due to the cost of a screen replacement we were unable to offer you the original valuation price. Not all companies test for the same things, this is based on the market they sell back on to. “Sent the an iPhone X in really good condition - having replaced the screen a month earlier - and with no scratches or functional issues at all having lived inside a protective case it’s whole life. Was quoted £215, and once it had arrived was told there were ‘led issues’(?) with the screen so they’d pay £70. I cancelled, got it returned, and sent it to musicMagpiestore who gave me £200 for it no questions asked. Clearly mazuma are exploiting the situation without being able to trade in at other places, so please go elsewhere.”

Good afternoon, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service you received from Mazuma. Unfortunately, our technicians confirmed a defective screen due to white mark(s) in the display which is usually only visible on a white background. These tend to appear as little white stars within the LCD, it is where the pixel has died and causes it to glow brighter than the rest of them. Due to the cost of a LCD replacement, we were unable to offer you the original valuation price. All recycling companies check for different issues, depending on the market they sell back into.
