Similarly to just about everyone who has posted here, i have had a terrible experience with Mazuma. Something has clearly gone very wrong with this company as I have previously used them with no issues. I sent my Wife's Galaxy S7 Edge to them having been quoted £75. It was in perfect condition - not a scratch. Like new. I got an email from them saying it had "screen burn on a white background". It's just a lie. I rejected their revised offer of £5. I then got another mail saying they could up their offer to £20!! What!!. I rejected again. I now await return of my phone. I think the Office of Fair Trading should be looking at them - crooks.

wouldn't use again. Got quoted 80 pound and I added the problems to it on the quote. They then offer me 30 pound stating the faults I had already listed as. Absolute joke of a company yes I could of rejected it. But I didn't want the hassle. Stick to selling privately.

Firstly I thought, wow what a fantastic company. Very quick with sending through the pre paid package so I could send my device off. Paid for next day delivery. The device has just arrived with them. They’ve just now offered me below half of what I expected upon sending my device off. My device has been well looked after and definitely had no cracks on the screen, but apparently it does now.. Brilliant. Your best bet is to sell your device through a more reliable source. Don’t make the same mistake us all of us and avoid.

Do not send your item to maxuma. I have sent two working phones with no screen issues packaged well and they have come back and told me screen issues on both and offered £5. Don’t waste your time sending it and having it returned broken.

Don't buy or sell your phone to this fraud of a company!!!!! They quoted me £210 for a brand new phone I wanted to sell to them. When they received it they claimed that I accepted an offer for £40 which I never. I didn't even receive an email of this fake offer. They paid this in to my account. When I chased them about this and for an explanation they lied and said I accepted the offer. They did not pay e the original price. The 2 staff members I spoke to Jessica and Ellie are very rude and abrupt. They did not help me in any way for an explanation or to get my money back!!!!!!!!!

Missold. They sent an email upon receiving my phone quoting me with £60 and asked me to accept this, however when I accepted this they conveniently reduced it to £15 when sending me the money, without informing me of the change. Would not recommend. This is how these companies make their money. Scam.

Good afternoon Pauline, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the decision made regarding your device. Screen burn appears within the LCD layer of the device (this is the pixel layer underneath the glass on the front). This can come in two different forms and imprint or a glow. The most common imprint we tend to see if of the keyboard as this is the most common function used on a mobile phone. It can also come in the form of a red glow which appears around the edges of the screen. Screen burn is where the pixels create a ghost like imprint that remains even after the on-screen content has changed or moved. This is mainly visible against a white background. This can present itself in 3 different levels. In regards to the packaging, in order for us to allow the team more space to work, all packaging is separated from devices upon receipt. If for any reason a customer’s device is to be returned, our team will try their best to return original packaging/accessories where possible. If they are unable to do so, we do ensure that all devices are packaged and fully protected for transit before they leave. Kind regards Mazuma Mobile.

Do not send your phone to Mazuma Mobile! I sent a fully functional Samsung Galaxy S9 to them in January, which worked perfectly apart from a few minor cosmetic scratches to the surface. They quoted £160 for the phone, so I happily sent it in, protected with several layers of bubble wrap and the prepaid envelope they provided. A few days later my offer was dropped to £40, with their reasons being that the power button was damaged and not working. As I knew this wasn’t the case when I sent the phone, I declined their offer and requested for the phone to be sent back to me. When it arrived a few days later, the power button had indeed been damaged and appeared to have been caused by some form of metal tool or vice! There was also components missing from the flash and the reverse of the phone was smashed. I called Mazuma mobile and they opened an investigation which took almost three weeks! They finally got back to me to say someone on their first day had dealt with my phone and not input the damage correctly, as a faulty power button would only drop the price by £20, and they suspect there must have been further damage, but that this was not documented by the person on their first day. They asked me to send my phone back to be reassessed and a new offer could be generated. Having been left with a broken phone that cannot be turned on, I declined their offer. Mazuma has provided disgraceful service. Why they let someone on their first day deal with orders unaccompanied is beyond me. I am now at a loss financially and will never use them again.

Don’t use this company, they will rip you off. Sent them an undamaged phone which they said was damaged and knocked £30 off the sum originally offered. They say they didn’t damage it because their workshop has padded floors and workbenches. Oh well it must have been the fairies that damaged the phone. Beware of this company

Good afternoon, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to here you were unhappy regarding your your device. Every device that we receive is thoroughly checked by our technicians, if it doesn't meet our grading criteria the price, we can offer you a lower price. Unfortunately, your device had a cracked touchscreen when it was examined which resulted in the lower price being offered. Kind regards Mazuma Mobile

I sent my samsung s8 in perfect out of box condition to mazuma. They said it had ghosting and cracks and from offering me £130 they reduced it to £25. I asked for it back after another argument about it being unlocked which it was but cost me more money to prove it, and I sold it privately for more because it was in pristine condition so I do not trust this company at all.

Very disappointing experience. They changed me £120 for screen replacement of Galaxy A5 2017. Firstly, they did not send me a link for the parcel liable I had to get I touch twice to get it. From the day it was sent to the day I got it back it took 7 days! Which is just way too long. Once I opened the phone, the glue was sticking out all around the screen and the screen was not attached fully. You can see gaps at the edges of the screen where it was not sealed. The sticker they put on the back of the phone also left a lot of residues. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Scam, say price promise then highlight chips even though the chips were highlighted before quote, £160 to £40, business is built on them hoping people will just say somethings better than nothing, avoid, you won't get what you are quoted

Similar story to those below, I was offered £105 for my iPhone 7 in perfect working order when sent. On receipt they offered £40 due to "Defective LCD screen. White mark(s) in display. Mostly visible on white background. New LCD screen required." I told my OH and he had exactly the same message when selling his phone to them last year. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!! They are total time-wasters!

Fantastic service! I have been using Mazuma for over 10 years, and they have always been really good! yes you can get more money from ebay, however once you have taken ebays and paypals fees into account, the amount you get from mazuma is +- £20. Coupled with that most times I have sent my phone in, Mazuma pay very quickly. Great service!

Same as everyone else. I needed to get rid of two old iPhone 5s, one admittedly with a dodgy home button, but the other one was alright with some scratches. Original total offer of £25 was bumped down to £5 because of a yellow mark. I won't lose sleep over £20 as my phones were just lying around the house anyway, but would advise you to sell the phone yourself if you want to make more money.

Same story as everyone else I’m afraid. Stay away from mazuma. Sent my Samsung s8 to them. Offered 120 then received an email saying it had been reduced to £20 for Ghosting on the screen. I knew there was no ghosting so asked for the phone to be returned. I then sent it to another company who offered me the full amount and actually paid me it! No problem at all with ghosting on the screen. Stay away!!!!

Sent iPhone XR off was quoted at £310 and got offer of £30. When I received the phone back I took it to iPhone care shop for it to be looked at and the advisor said there was nothing wrong with the phone with 0 scratches. Never using these again! I urge all that have had dealing with the clowns to report to trading standards
