AVOID!! Absolutely terrible service. I needed to sell my phone due to getting a new one but being unable to pay both contracts due to the cost of my medical needs. So firstly… The packaging they request the phones to be sent in is just a plastic bag and have no protection for the phones so I had to purchase bubble wrap before sending, this delayed the process of me getting my phone to them when I needed it to be done quickly to pay the monthly bill and in turn the remainder of the contract. Once they received it I got an email to say it had been received and 20mins later received an email to say there was multiple cosmetic imperfections, i immediately emailed back telling them I could send a video to prove the imperfections were not there prior to sending but did not receive another response till the day later even though this was only around 3pm (2 hours before they close) so the next day I sent them a video of the phone before sending with no cosmetic imperfections and they said all they could do is send me photos of the damage but I would have to wait 48 hours bear in mind that it is almost the weekend so this would’ve likely been Monday which is after the date to which I needed to pay the phone by so I said I couldn’t do that and would have to accept the lower amount but still wanted to receive the photos of the supposed “imperfections” and then they told me that since I had accepted it they were not willing to send me the photos. I think this is appalling. Been left in a situation where I have no options. Will stick with Music Magpie next time 😪

I was only offered £60 for a perfect condition iPhone 11 that we all know will be sold for well over £200 This will be the last time I use this company

Same experience as everyone else. Sent an iphone 11 that had always been kept in a case with a screen protector and was in perfect condition. Phone was heavily wrapped in bubble wrap for postage They miraculously found more than 5 scratches and offered me considerably less than original offer. Phone call was a waste of time since they just said their procedures couldn't be faulted. Waiting for phone to be returned but if there are any scratches then I know how the got there. Don't touch this company with a barge pole.

So I sent my phone down mazuma. They offered me £20 originally because off a defective screen. When they received it they changed the offer to two pounds. I refused as it's a Galaxy s10 and sells for 140 .they then revised the offer to 5.50 yep a joke but I then refused again so today ive received my phone back from mazuma tried to plug it in to charge and the charger port has been deliberately destroyed wtf? I think its been done out off spite.ive emailed them yet guess they will deny all knowledge. So stay away from these leeches.this is a real review and my real life experience with this horrific company. I'll go to court with my complaint its criminal damage regardless of the screen being cracked they have no rights to destroy my property.im assuming they didn't want me to try elsewhere has anyone had this same experience?

I had always thought it was never possible to monitor your partner or children without them noticing, but all thanks to him I am able to view my partners activities without her even knowing. Same experience as many others. They deliberately overprice the phone so that they are the 'highest bidders' to incentivise people to sell to them. Once they have your phone, they will reduce the amount they will actually pay (20% in my case) in the hope that you will just accept it rather than going through the trouble of getting it back and reselling it. Even worse, preying on people who are struggling financially knowing that they will likely accept the offer as they need the money. My phone was in pristine condition with no scratches yet their reason for amending the price was due to it having 'more than 5 scratches'... utter rubbish! Do yourself a favour and sell your phone to other more reputable companies that won't try scamming you out of money. I wish I'd listened to other reviews and changed my mind before using Mazuma Mobile. Avoid at all costs!!

Don’t use, they offered me 405, sent a phone in great condition, they offered me £150, due to sctraches. I refused and the scratches got better and they offered me £245. I refused they sent it back with new scratches. YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Date of experience: 28 January 2023

Absolutely livid with this company. Was quoted £190 for my IMMACULATE CONDITION iPhone 11. Phone has been kept in a case and had a screen protector on for the whole 2 years of having it. Not a single scratch, dent, mark on it. Wrapped it up extremely well in bubble wrap, padded the box out with bubble wrap and sent it off to them. To receive an email today, knocking my offer down by £60 to £130 with the following statement: Apple iPhone 11 64GB Unlocked Your device has multiple scratches on the casing (we allow up to 5). These cosmetic imperfections mean your device has been repriced. This is complete and utter rubbish there wasn’t 1 mark on that phone never mind multiple marks. I can assure you I am going to leave negative reviews everywhere possible and report them to everyone possible. Needless to say I’ve rejected the offer and requested my iPhone be sent back to me. Any mark that it comes back with definitely weren’t on it when sent to them. Looking at other reviews being left I not the first person they’ve done this too and no doubt won’t be the last.😡

I have just had the settlement figure for my iPhone 12 which was £40 below the offer price…. Mazuma stated that it had cosmetic scratches which I know was not the case.. the phone was perfect… they know that to question any figure is time consuming and pointless but it is very disappointing to be treated like this by so many such sites…. Do not be confused Mazuma is no better than the rest…. I suggest you shop around.

Avoid this company Avoid this company! Sent off a phone in perfect condition, this was confirmed by several people I the mobile trade. Mazuma have mysteriously found some imperfections on the phone and have reduced the value by over £100. Now they're keeping hold of the phone for another 3-5 days before returning it back to me.

Sent them a PERFECT condition iPhone. They apparently found scratches on the phones case to downgrade it (there was not) and dust inside the lens (which they said go back to Apple for). Dust that hasn't show up in a single photo I have ever taken. I disputed this but frankly they don't care. Also they say there is 100% NO WAY AT ALL that the damage was their side. The phone was fully packed, boxed and bubble wrapped, mint condition when it left. But they refuse to accept there is even a chance they could be responsible. Joke. Adele - a customer service manager - was just rude and unhelpful. The apathy in her voice was palpable. Ive used them before and they have been good but frankly the attitude and the fact they have no staff (admitted by Adele) and seemingly a dishonest approach makes them one to avoid.

Won't be using again. I've sold dozens of mobile phones over the years to various different companies and never ever had a problem. I look after my phones, they are in cases from new. However, my experience with Mazuma is that if you have the tiniest blemish (which you would expect for a two-year-old, well-used phone), they massively knock the price down on what they have offered. I couldn't be bothered to get it back and send it elsewhere, but I certainly won't be using Mazuma again. AVOID.

Absolute scammers,2 phones sent in original boxes, excellent condition, made out more scratches than they allow and 1 had a cracked lense which it certainly did not on sending, offer declined, sent an increased offer, also declined. Phones returned and surprise surprise phone now has an unmissable crack on lense, avoid at all costs.

They will try anything not to give you a fair price for a phone My husband was selling his mobile which he was quoted £125. He sent the phone and was told it had a screen burn (it did not) so they said they would only give him £25 but got it rechecked and offered £35 for it as they said it had multiple scratches on it. They allow 3 on the front and 5 on the case. It has 3 tiny scratches on the whole thing as it has been kept in a protective case whilst he owned it. Never had a problem with them before but will not be using again.

I sent two IPhones to Mazuma, an 11 and an SE. While I have no issues with the price I got for the 11, it’s the iPhone SE that has caused all the issues, as according to Mazuma it wasn’t in the package, it had mysteriously vanished. Mazuma pointed to the carrier straight away, who then launched an investigation, the carrier were able to share the photo taken at delivery to Mazuma, which I confirmed was the package and in the same condition it left me. I then called Mazuma who told me that there was nothing they could or would be prepared to do, in fact they told me that they accepted no responsibility for the missing handset what so ever, basically if it’s not the carriers fault tough. Stay away from Mazuma, they are not to be trusted.
