“I had to ring to find why my order had not been fulfilled. After agreeing to refund my delivery charge I was told it would be delivered the following week. Unfortunately Yodel were not up to this simple task and I had to pursue them. It eventually arrived. It took another call to remind Maxwells to refund my delivery charge which has now arrived.”

“Great price for picket fencing but service not great.should have been delivered next working day but wasn't. Sent 2 emails but neither was answered.one of the struts on the panel was broken but as I said still no reply.”

“Being a keen DIYer I sometimes need materials and when its mostly gardening, fencing etc, they have to be ordered on line as they come from the main depot at Peterlee, not much of a problem as they send them up to the Birtley depot on the next van, I have always found the staff very helpful and knowledgeable about their products , not like B&Q who are now totally useless and overpriced, Maxwells are not much more for most things that are well priced at Screwfix or Toolstation but being on my doorstep I am more than happy to use them without a trip down to Team Valley to wait in a queue ,and they have much stock which is same cost or cheaper like in the paint range.”

“I was very unhappy, I ordered on a Wednesday well before the cut off time for next day delivery of sand bags and I paid the £39.99 next day charge, they did not arrive on Thursday and when I called on Friday morning I was told they would not be there until Monday, demanding a Saturday delivery because I needed this as ballast for Sunday exhibition stand it was refused and I had to get a refund.”

“Only received part of my paint order on the day requested - when I phoned Maxwells they said the other two tins had been damaged in transit by Yodel so they would reorder them for delivery. That was due yesterday but still haven't received this replacement order, and received no phone calls or emails to update me. Was very inconvenient as I wanted to paint the shed at the weekend but didn't have the paint. Plus point was that the paint was a lot cheaper than other stores, but if it's not delivered on time then not very helpful even if it was cheaper!”
