My order was placed on 8 April 2015, at 9:50 in the morning, we paid for next day delivery and the transaction amount has been debited from my account. As of the 11th April we still have not received our order. Two emails have been sent to customer services with no reply and a telephone message has been left on their answering machine and as yet again no response.

Ronseal decking oil, excellent price! ( basically half price compared to standard large diy stores) very very happy with purchase and quick delivery. Thankyou Simon alpe

When I ordered the compost the order stated that it would be delivered the next day. Instead I was sent an email on the day it was supposed to be delivered at 4:17 pm to state that it would be delivered 7 days later! The landscape gardener was waiting to lay down the compost

I made 2 orders with this company. First order didn't arrive next day as promised, instead half arrived the following day and the other half a day later. The second order arrived next day but the quantity split was wrong but ironically it actually worked in my favour.

When ordered delivery was stated as Friday 3rd April, received on Tuesday 7th April, I assme this was due to Easter. So only 4* The price was the cheapest online

Ordering on line was easy. Timer stated on line was approx 3 hrs to order, before next day delivery was guaranteed. Ordered in good time,and was told via e-mail, that the package had been despatched. Have not received the paint I have been waiting for? Very dissapointing considering I had not bothered to buy a similar paint from B&Q. Instead myself and the good lady had gone by the word of the e-mail stating the Paint would be delivered on Friday the 3rd. Sent e-mail to maxwells, no reply. Phoned up Maxwells on line query number on Friday at 15.45, they close at 4pm. But the answering machine said that they had closed and would re-open on Tuesday the 7th. Still waiting on Saturday the 4th, and Sunday the 5th. Alas hope it comes on Monday the 6th, I will be shocked if it turns up on Tuesday the 7th or not at all? Please can someone from Maxwells reply with a confirmed ETA and an explanation. Very Poor Customer service, Not even a word that there would be any delays. Would expect Delivery charge of £4.99 to be refunded and compensation, as I am a first time user! Tarlochan

Order was placed on 29/3 - non-working day. Assumed order would be processed on Monday 30/3 for delivery Tuesday 31/3 as you claim 'next-day delivery'. NO! E-mail at 4.17pm on Monday advised delivery would be Wednesday 1/4. No explanation given.

As Maxwells had lots of orders, they could not fulfill mine for the next day delivery I paid for. As it was the Easter weekend I was informed by Maxwells that their success meant I had to wait 4 days. My response to their apology email was: "I am unimpressed to be told that as a result of your business success I am to suffer by not getting the delivery service I paid for. You blithely apologise for the fact I shall have to wait an extra 4 days. You received my order at start of business, yet did not email me of your failure until after 1800 hrs. I assume you accepted my order and money when you knew you would fail to deliver. Your apology is meanlingless." I know things go wrong, but their attitude is "the customer can suffer". Appalling.

Order Reference: 24959 (WEB24959). Having ordered this on Tuesday evening and paying for delivery i received an order confirmation saying: Delivery Method: Next Working Day Delivery It is now Friday and this has still not been delivered. This was purchased for the Bank Holiday Weekend and I'm am very disappointed. My first experience with Maxwells DIY has been very poor and right now I'm unsure if I'll every use you again or recommend. A positive response from yourselves and I'll give you another go - because mistakes do happen.

Not very happy. I ordered a hinge on March 31st an paid £4.99 for next working day delivery. It's now April 3rd and I still haven't got it. The only thing I have received is an e-mail asking me to fill in a customer satisfaction survey!
