“After ordering my paint and paid for it, I organized my decorator to arrive on the same day. After him traveling 20 miles to reach me and charge me the paint not just didn't arrive I phoned Maxwell's up to be told they had not got any and cannot get it. I thought they would at least have sent me an email or phone the number I left on the order, but no, they didn't even bother to phone back after me calling and explaining my issue after the receptionist had said the manager was out and he would phone before 4:00, I am now out of pocket by the £80 the decorator has charged me for his time.”

“Bought black & decker-18v-lithium-ion-combi-drill-2-batteries with kit-box, as it was the best deal could find with 2 batteries and the kit box, fast delivery, however it arrived without the kit box, following a couple of calls to customer services, I was offered a substantial discount on drill and 2 batteries, which still made it a great deal, the discount refund appeared back in my account within a couple of days, great deal and service, thank you Maxwells DIY”

“Ordered two tins of Ronseal Shed and fence protector and paid for next working day delivery. Six days later I contacted the company has I had not received the items. I was informed that they did not have the items in stock and did not know when they would arrive. No e-mail or other communication. I had to ask for a refund as this was not offered, poor service from this company.”

“we placed our order last Thursday for next day delivery. unfortunately we had missed the 2pm deadline. I text Maxwells on Monday morning to enquire when it would be delivered. I did not receive a reply so my husband rang you in the afternoon. We were told the paint we wanted was out of stock and would arrive at Maxwells on Tuesday and be delivered to us on Wednesday. We received an email on Tuesday to say it would arrive Wednesday. I took a day off work and waited in all day and it did not arrive. I sent an email again last night asking where it was. So far we have not had a reply. The paint arrived sometime this morning and was left in the garden as we had requested. I understand there may be problems sometimes but it really annoys me that no one bothers to contact us or answer our emails. We are new customers and were planning to place a further order. However we will not be ordering from you again.”

“ordered on 17/03/16 on over night did not receive goods the goods although I payed for that service waited til 21/03/16 til I phoned customer services to be told that one of the products was out of stock but it would be dispatched that day if that was so why was I not emailed to say there was a problem”

“Paint order arrived with external packaging ripped/damaged, both lids off the paint. Paint all spilled out into packaging and leaking through . Phoned and was advised I would be sent a replacement. Over a week later and i waited but no replacement and no contact. When I phoned them I was told their stockist had discontinued this paint! So I wonder, was I ever going to be informed? I have been offered a refund through paypal, which is the way I originally paid. I'm thinking that as it is PayPal it would be an immediate refund as the payment to them was immediate. But at the end of day. .....still no refund into my PP account. Extremely Poor.”

“When we ordered the picket fence it only took 2 days to be delivered. Fantastic service. The fence exceeds our expectations. It is a very robust fence and has been expertly made with no odd ends that need to be finished off. Would definitely recommend the company to our friends and neighbours.”
