“Although goods arrived promptly and were well packed the courier service was poor. Courier simply rang the front door bell placed the package on the window ledge and walked away not waiting to see if any one was at home or requiring a signature for the delivery. Will be reluctant to order high value goods from Maxwells DIY in the future.”

“I placed the order on Saturday and have still not received it!! I have tried phoning but either engaged or dead tone. Not impressed at the moment I'm afraid.”

“Ordering went smoothly and received both emails and phone calls to confirm delivery date and time. Delivered on time from the local store with all items correct. Quality of the fencing was good and was made of a reasonable thickness of tanalised wooden slats which should last a good few years. Would look good unpainted altough I will be painting mine to match the existing woodwork. Only hiccup was a second delivery of the same fencing but from another warehouse. duplicate was taken back by the driver without problems but must have been an error in the order processing. Despite that I will happily order from them again”

“Ordering product and paying online was easy. I was a little confused about the store collection option which I chose. There was no option to choose a store and the message on screen indicated I would receive an e-mail regarding delivery. However I received a phone call to say the order was ready for collection next working day and I was asked which store would I like to collect from, Order was correct and collected at my convenience. Maxwells is my first stop for DIY materials as prices are usually the lowest around and staff are always helpful.”

“So far, five days after ordering a small quantity of plant support, I have received two confirmations and a request to review their standard of service, but no product! More attention to getting my purchase to me quickly would have been preferable.”

“I'm very impressed. I e mailed with an inquiry and directly received a reply. The item was dispatched the same day as placing the order which I received within one working day. The paint was in the region of 18 pounds cheaper than in a builders merchants close by.”

“Needed an extra tin of Ronseal Ultimate Decking Stain in "Slate" Had bought previous tin from B&Q at £29. Found Maxwells after a Google search - found the paint in stock (nearly everyone else out of stock) & only £18.99!!!! Ordered @ 3pm on Thurs & it arrived 1pm on Fri! Fantastic service - will be ordering again. Many thanks”
