“I ordered a bag of lawn sand from Maxwells and they sent it without any packaging. When it eventually turned up after 4 days (not next day) the bag had two corners missing one which been repaired, a big slash down the middle. The upshot was a 20KG bag had only 2KG left in it. I sent an email enquiring if they could send me a new sack. No response. I tried to call them to discuss the problem the phone was engaged all morning. So I was stuck with a faulty product. Not good.”

“I ordered 2 60lts of Westlands Jacks Magic all purpose compost along with some path and patio cleaner I received the patio and path cleaner within 2/3 days but the compost did not arrive so i phoned you company and they told me it had been sent to Leeds and would be with me today before 12.00 The lady who spoke to me on the phone was very apologetic and help full Regards Raymond Belk”

“After ordering the picket fence on Wednesday. And confirmation it had been despatched, I took the day of on Friday to make sure I was in . Then contacted you at 3.30 to tell you it had nit arrived, they checked and they had disappeared , credit where credit is due a refund was done straight way . But with me taking the day of and my husband taking Saturday morning of on Saturday to do it I was very disapointed,, I do understand it was not your fault but it fist us a great deal of money in loss of earnings . Thanks gail”

“I ordered two folding chairs, which I had to hunt down on the internet. I was so pleased to find them. My order was acknowledged, money taken from my credit card. However, there was no follow up to tell me they had been despatched. Only when I contacted Maxwells DIY did I get told they were out of stock and unavailable. They did immediately put a refund on my credit card, but I wonder if they would ever have noticed if I hadn't contacted them??”

“I phoned customer services first to find out whether the product was as described on the website. The person I spoke to went to have a look at the item and assured me it was. Item arrived within timescale promised and was exactly as described. Very happy with the way my order went and would order again in future.”

“Bought the product with a next day delivery but it didnt arrive ! No notification either that it was delayed or when it would be delivered. The only saving grace was the speedy return of my money when I asked for a refund.”

“Service from Maxwells via Shaun was superb. You had despatched our goods within 24hours to your carriers. Unfortunately your carriers only delivered one of the two large items ordered a day late. They had lost the second one!. I contacted Shaun, who found this out for us, and he immediately despatched a replacement. This arrived within twenty four hours as promised by him. No problems with your service but your carriers leave a lot to be desired! Order ref. WEB 22436 Roger Atkinson”
