“Placed an order for varnish, then realised I'd ordered the wrong colour. Rang Maxwell DIY to explain. They sorted the problem out immediately and ensured the correct varnish was delivered. The goods also arrived on time and were well packaged. Would recommend Maxwell DIY to anyone.”

“I live in London and wanted a pine radiator cover saw maxwells on line ordered it and it was delivered when they said it would be and hats off???????? to the people who made it,what a beautiful cover hopefully my friends will see it and order one too”

“Failure to deliver item on time. Very poor communication from Maxwells DIY. Prices maybe competitive, customer service is awful. Trying to return an unwanted delivery has been a pain, just having to keep explaining what went wrong with my order to Maxwells DIY. I would recommend that people thinking of using Maxwells DIY look elsewhere. Not so much as an apology from Maxwells DIY for all that went on.”

“First of all Maxweells DIY was the only business in my area where I actually found what I was looking for, in this instance it was a small quantity of a roof felt that I needed for my garden shed. Everywhere else that I looked the rolls of felt were massive ( 10 -20 meters long ). Secondly, the Maxwells prices are very competitive and I saved myself at least £20 by ordering from them! The order was delivered the very next day which was an additional bonus which I didn't expect and finally the quality of the products was excellent. Thank you Maxwells DIY -from a very satisfied and hapy customer!”

“The woman i spoke to at Maxwells lied about the delivery, said the delivery guys would bring the bags of compost to the back garden. I have lots of garden equipment to purchase in future, i guess Maxwells is one place i will not be shopping with.”

“I ordered 3 tins of varnish only one arrived but had invoice for 3 when I phoned to chase it up they had only sent one because they had run out but had just received it in that morning. And told me I would receive it the following day Saturday but I didn't it came today Monday stamped 48 which I presume meant 48 hour delivery so I wasn't ever going to receive it on the Saturday. It is a shame that all they had needed to do was include a slip with my original order to say other two would be delivered soon. Not tried the varnish yet so can only presume it is ok. I will use this company again”
