Bulbs arrived in an eco bubble wrap envelope. Unfortunately this must have had something very heavy placed on it so the the SMALLEST pseudonarcissus bulbs I've ever seen were all oval. They were also very soft/dried out. I planted them anyway and I guess most of them will survive but will take many years to recover. The worst packaging and bulbs I've ever seen!

Extremely disappointed ordered general purpose meadow seeds wild3 but got bird foot foil which is a grassland plant which originates from Albania and North America. Contacted manager Jane to arrange are refund but as yet still waiting. I would definitely not recommend this company.

Seed bag arrived with no label. Contacted them to tell them the package shows wild flowers and I ordered clover. Messages back ‘pretty confident it’s clover’. After I persisted the replies turned into ‘’quite certain’. I found this unacceptable

This is my flower beds, or should I say soil bed, no flowers for me and was told that the birds must have eaten the seeds! Very disappointing results.

I ordered seeds on April 18th. They are being sent by Royal Mail and the parcel can't be tracked until its delivered!!!!! This is unacceptable. I have emailed the company and as yet had no reply. To say that I am annoyed is an understatement

After following the advice on the site I purchased what should have been sufficient clover seed to cover the 66m2 However, on receipt of the seeds the advice was tremendously different and it would take a huge amount more than I had purchase. I emailed them with this and they said they acknowledged the lack of clarity and would change it to reflect this but this in no way helped me resolve my issue as I am unable to purchase the required amount due to the massive cost in comparison to the original advice. So very disappointing and therefore unable to recommend

Didn’t cover nearly the amount it said it would. I ordered 10m2 and didn’t even get enough for my 3m2 garden patch 😢 UPDATE They’ve now emailed me asking about this review to an email that doesn’t accept replies even though they asked me to and the email subject asks if I’m “dispaointed”. how did this company get this far??? AVOID

In November 23 I bought wild garlic, native blue bell and snowdrop bulbs costing £175. I planted all these shortly after they arrived even though some of the bulbs did not look viable. None of the snowdrops came through. It is now the 7th of April and I have had 4 wild garlic flowers and 3 bluebells. I was very disappointed with this and contacted meadowmania. They said the problem was likely to have been the wet winter. They offered me 20% discount off my next purchase as a goodwill gesture. Next year I will get buy my bulbs from a different company and see if they germinate.

Not up to usual standard. I pre-ordered 50 Wood Anemone 'bulbs' advertised for Spring planting and waited several weeks for them to arrive, had to chase the delivery in fact. These are not bulbs in the conventional sense but linear strips of root around 2" in length. A few were showing signs of buds but the vast majority were not, and were dry. This is a flower that should be planted as bulbs in the Autumn, not Spring, and even though I put them in immediately upon receipt I doubt they'll have time to make a show this year, and I have low to zero expectation I'll see them in 2025.

Hi Peter, sorry that you are unhappy with your order. These 'linear strips' that you refer to are Rhizomes, and due to them being a different shape from a bulb, we have posted photos on the product page to demonstrate how they look. Since you feel that they should be planted in Autumn, I am confused as to why you ordered Spring planting rhizomes and at this time of the year... Sorry to hear you have such low expectations for them, I hope it gives you comfort to hear that we have every confidence in them! With regards to the delivery, again apologies that this took longer than you hoped, we agree that the lead time can be longer than a typical e-commerce website, particularly at this time of year, we do our very best to outline the lead times on the product page and the delivery page - sorry if this wasn't clear enough.

I have repeatedly asked when I will receive my order of wild garlic. It has not arrived and no-one has responded to my queries about whether I get a refund or if they will ever turn up.

I placed my order on 18th Feb and it has still not arrived. I emailed yesterday to chase this and was told it would be dispatched in a few days.. no date confirmed just a loose estimate of ‘a few days’ Dispatch time was quoted at between 5-10days. Had I known it would be longer than 10days I would have ordered from a different company

Purchased 50 Snow Drob bulbs in February 2023. They arrived within the expected delivery window but there was less than 50 bulbs. Not a major issue in itself but the bulbs looked 'old' and not particularly 'green' and had minimal root growth. When I contacted the company they were insistent on a photograph of the bulbs. I pointed out that I wasn't claiming a refund but they insisted there was nothing they could do without a photograph. Shame that an apology wasn't forthcoming at the outset and not simply focusssd on a justification for a refund.

We know what wild flowers SHOULD have come up, since we have been cultivating these all over our land for the last 13 years. To cover bare soil after an installation, we thought we'd take a short cut by buying Meadowmania seed. It was properly sown at the right time, watered, cared for and protected until established, but nothing except the most minute poppies and one other tiny flower (the boulder in the photo is huge) came up. Not even any grasses! As an experiment, I planted the clay mix on one side and chalk on the other, expecting the chalk flowers not to work (we have chalky boulder clay), but there was absolutely no difference between the 2 types. A complete con and a waste of money, but above all of effort.

We've reached out to this customer with no response to date. Hopefully, they will come back soon and we can try and help. The mixtures sown included Poppy & Yellow Rattle and the rest of species were perennials. We supplied them in the last week of April. So, they were either sown then or the first week in May. In the first year, you may only see the annuals. The perennials start to come to the fore from the second year onward. This summer has been very challenging for late sown meadows. We have had one of the driest summers for years. This customer lives in Kent which has had little rain over the summer. The dry weather impacts the growth and the success of any meadow. Our general advice is that if you have a concern about your Meadow. If you reach out to us and supply some information we will look to try and help if we can.

I was very disappointed with the wild flowers plugs. The poppies were minuscule tiny shreds, the cornflowers not much better. Although I paid on ordering by credit card, they took many weeks to arrive.

Wildflower plugs plants are tricky to grow and are weather dependent as they are grown semi outdoors. This means they can, in some years, take longer to develop than we would expect. This can delay dispatch. All the plugs we send will have an established healthy root system but some can be smaller than others. If you have any concerns about the plants you receive if you contact us when you receive them we can look to resolve any issue.
