I cant speak for the price because other dealers do not publish their prices. However, when this customer collected their bike they were very happy with the function. This was a Santa Cruz eBike. We were tasked to repair some broken fixings that hold on the motor cover, repair gears resulting from a bent hanger and cage, fix a poorly functioning rear brake and fix a One Up components dropper post. We were also tasked to replace a rear tyre provided. This was an enduro fit with a CushCore Lining. We did have an issue where this was leaking air and we were asked to take another look and fix the leak. We spent an additional 2.5 hours removing that tyre, cleaning off all the old sticky tape, sanding down the rim, replacing rim, and refitting the tyre. We had the bike for a further few hours and did not encounter a leak while it was in the shop. This customer asked us to hurry this job and do this work to a tight schedule considering our current work load. We did this and put ourselves under a lot of stress to deliver on time. As far as we know the work was completed to our usual high standard and we did not receive a complaint at the time. If we had, we would have fixed it immediately. We charged 4 hours labour total. Rear wheel - remove tape, cean rim, fit tape, refit tyre Service Rear Brake with Sticky Caliper, Replace pads and bleed. Straighten rear mech hanger Straighten rear mech cage. Tune gears, clean chain. Strip and service One Up Components Dropper. Replace cable Remove Motor cover, remove rivut, replace with larger M4 versions with new bolts, rebuild I feel this is a fair amount of time, and our prices were clearly displayed. There was no objection at the time. We have tried to contact the customer and offer to put right any workmanship issues. To date, there has been no answer, and we are unaware of any issues before this review. Paul

“I had Mapdec rebuild my Zipp 303S wheels on DT Swiss 240 hubs and am extremely pleased with the whole process. They had no problem dealing with me shipping the wheels to them, kept me up to date with the work and were happy to answer any questions I had. “A tale of two bikes for an extended trip with two races. Jake went the extra mile so I could race my MTB abroad. Last minute .com! A great relief. Many thanks. My TT bike was a flying machine in Belgium, and got me 4th place in a race of over 3 hours by 13 seconds! Not a podium, but dashed close. Race services work!”

“Paul and the Mapdec crew are not only amazing at customer service but also knowledgeable and experienced in the trade. I can rely on Paul to give me sound advise and cut through marketing clamour. In my dealing with Mapdec, they have not pushed for sales but concentrated on what I wanted and how best would that serve my requirements, while presenting me with other available options. I am not local to Kendal and have to travel from Manchester - a trip I would happily make to make sure that I am getting a quality service. Mapdec is everything that you would want: Accuracy, efficiency, quality, honesty”
