“The bike itself is quality. But the custom color part was a mess. None of the colors match - 3 different greens and 3 different oranges. The point was to be able to design a bike that looks super custom and matches. This falls very short of that. It looks like a Frankenstein bike with mixed pieces and parts - not very professional. You can get a good single speed bike anywhere- the draw to mango was to customize the colors - but since they don’t match it was a waste. I ordered from over seas and paid extra for this customization and it doesn’t look good. Pretty disappointed.”

“Bought Norfee bar bag - mainly because it is supposed to be waterproof. It definitely is not waterproof. Everything inside gets damp in the rain, and water pools at the bottom of the bag so nothing dries out. Emailed Mango twice, no reply. Very disappointing for a company who seem so customer focused.”

“I bought the customisable original single speed bike. I have to say that I was disappointed with the quality, especially at the price of nearly £500. Firstly, I received the wrong colour pedals. Secondly, despite screwing into the crankset easily, the right pedal loosened while I was out riding and actually fell off while I was mid ride. This happened on a busy main road and could have been dangerous. On inspecting the crank thread, it had completely disintegrated. I contacted Mango about this and they told me it was my fault for cross threading the pedal -next time I screw in a pedal I will be sure to have cryptonite next to me as I must have superman levels of strength to be able to cross thread a pedal all the way in without any resistance. Mango would not let me return the bike despite this having happened within a week of me receiving the product. In addition, for the few miles I was able to cycle the bike before it broke, the ride was uncomfortable and the brakes alarmingly squeaky. The handlebar grips are incredibly cheap looking and feeling. Overall very unhappy with the product and the customer service.”

Hi Robert We're sorry about the issue you had. As discussed following the photos you sent through, this was due to the pedal not being fitted correctly. It doesn't instantly destroy the threads, the issue happens because the pedal and crank arm threads aren't fully engaged correctly. This play then gets worse and results in the pedal falling out as experienced here. Miche is a world-class crankset manufacturer used by many top and professional riders and teams. We moved to them a few years ago and have had very few issues with the thousands of bikes built and dispatched worldwide. We're still keen to get you sorted so just reply back to the emails sent.

“Brilliant bike, just made up how I wanted it to be! Had an upgrade with the wheels to Gillespie's, as there was no stock of the standard type, and I'm glad I did as they look great in black. Good service and always kept up to date with my order. Would definitely recommend mango bikes to my friends!”

“Ordered an 8-speed Shimano chain as Mango had the best price online. Although the description said it would come with a quick link, it wasn't included in the order. However, a short email resulted in one being sent to me straight away. So all good in the end. Thanks guys!”

“I’ve wanted a Mango bike since I discovered their page. I hesitated to pull the trigger on purchasing for 10 months due to fear of being caught in some claims process if there were errors during international shipping. Well I took a chance and did it! From time of purchase, communication from Mango was excellent! Once shipped I was able to track through DHL. I was provided with an ETA from DHL and became very concerned when my package did not arrive on time. That dreaded feeling started to creep in. I decided to give it a few days before I contacted DHL to see if there was any movement and there was! It took about 3 days for DHL to update but then it did and I was able to track my bike again. The bike arrived 5 days after the original ETA, but not bad considering international shipping and clearance from customs. The packaging was great! Everything was wrapped and protected very well. The bike was easy to put together. I understand some things are out of your control once the item is shipped with the courier. All in all, my experience was great and I’ve recommended several family members and friends to your website. My only gripe is the handle bar covers. I selected pink and in the images the pink was dark colored. What I received was a very light, cotton candy colored pink. I would have selected a different color had I known the shade of pink was very light. Overall, I love the bike and cannot wait to hit the trails.”
