“Easy to navigate and order and order came very promptly. A little "over-packaged" I think, so it can be simpler, lighter and use less material. 70g packets are nice, but it would be good to be able to also buy larger quantities. That said - at the price, a 500g or 1kg pack would probably be eye-wateringly expensive! And - smaller packs keep their freshness better, but still..”

Hello Karl, Thank you for your order, and for your feedback, it was warmly received. We are the first to admit that we are still learning the ropes after only 18 months. Our focus has been on the product, the ingredients and the quality; it has been a real eye-opener when we visited some of the large factories that turn out the big quantities. They would not entertain our approach, yet it still took 3 attempts to finally find a partner that was as committed as we were. This has affected the price, which is based on what we put into the product. We do hope that with time, greater sales and customer support, we can find ways to bring the same quality and freshness while bringing further value. We have started to supply in 400g/1kg packs to catering, but this is limited at the moment; the price isn't so eye-watering, but the minimum order quantity probably is (for now). The packaging could be simplified, but equally, many have commented that the packing boxes make good gifts. Nonetheless, we could make it smaller. We had to buy a lot of boxes to keep the price down, so it will take a while to run out, but we will be taking a look at this, as well as other things as we find our way. It is really important we get constructive feedback in the way you have today, so thank you again. Jum

“Prompt delivery. However package of 6 spices too ,large for standard letterbox, so had to collect from post office.”

Hello Jim, Thank you for your feedback. The packaging should meet the requirements of large letter format, which should fit into a normal letterbox. Some letterboxes do have deflector to avoid people peeping inside which make posting these boxes more difficult, or impossible, but according to the post office, this size should fit. We will reconsider our packaging later this year to see if there is a way to make the packaging smaller. Jum

“Maejum's Green Curry sauce was sooo good (be warned, it is firey!) Also they really kindly delivered extra fast - because I was late to order for a dinner party we were having. So happy to have found them.”

“My family and I Absolutely Love going to Thai restaurants , I have tried to recreate the currys before with very little success, until now (wow) these curry pastes are superb , anyone wanting authentic Thai currys give these a try , you will not be disappointed, will Defo be buying from Mae Jum again .....”

Thank you so much, Catherine, we are glad your ordering experience was well received. However, we do note that you found the paste a little too hot for you. Although we understand that a traditional recipe can be hotter than you would find in a supermarket, it may be worth saying that we use high-quality ingredients, without any bulking material, so the paste can be a little concentrated. Just 70g is enough for 6-8 people, however, adding less paste, will provide a much less intense, but still with the aroma and flavour you'd expect, just not so hot. Please try again, but don't worry about putting less, it will still taste great. Hello Barry, Glad you like our products, we've worked hard to get it right, so positive feedback only encourages us to work harder. We note that you would like some spicier options. I guess the Jungle Curry isn't pressing all the buttons. I would say that my husband is the same, loves it hot and spicy. I used to make my own paste, but now I used my own products, but I tend to use more paste for fewer people then I recommend on the pack, just because we like it quite hot. The recipe on the back is what I would do when I have guests, and it is an authentic taste and heat, but we definitely add more paste when we want to up the spiciness. Try it with the Red and Yellow, these can kick a punch if you add more of the paste. Thank you again. Jum
