“To be honest my item wasnt what i was expecting both the logs and the charcoal burned through very quickly and were not best suited for smoking”

Hi Chris, I'm really sorry to hear you didn't have the experience you hoped, we normally only have great feedback regards both the Caradoc charcoal and our smoking chunks. What sort of barbecue/smoker are you using? With 3kg of the Caradoc I find I can easily smoke for 5-6 hours on my Weber kettle, and only use around 1 to 1.5kg for shorter smokes such as spatchcock. Did you not find you were able to achieve this sort of length cook? I'll drop you an email now to see if we can do anything to fix this. Paul

Hi Jan, That's so amazing to hear, thanks for the review and ordering several times 😃 Quite often the more sustainable choice ends up being an inferior product (have you ever tried plastic free washing up liquid?? 😬) so it makes us so happy that in the case of British charcoal, it's actually WAY better than imported alternatives. “Got the pellets for my Ooni pizza oven as found Ooni’s very expensive so thought would try love logs pellets. Unfortunately, having used the Ooni on many occasions the pellets I purchased just never got the oven to the right/high temperature required for my oven fired pizza after much effort and time wasted . May have to revert back to more expensive ones or find others . Very disappointed and won’t buy again”

I'm going to pop you an email now and hopefully we can figure out if perhaps the pellets got wet during the delivery process, as you can imagine shipping in plastic free packaging this is one of the risks. “Really pleased with the wood pellets I bought from Love logs. A bonus that they come with fire lighters too- I have found that they light immediately and are perfect for my Ooni pizza oven. I will definitely be buying from them again- fast delivery too.”

“Exactly what I was after for my Ooni Karu. I like that you get firelighters with the log pack. I will be setting up a regular subscription. Much better than any kindling on Amazon and they came next day too!”
