“I needed small logs quickly for my rather elderly Little Wenlock stove. The aim is to replace it soon with a compliant stove like a Hamlet. That means small logs are essential. I was pleased to receive these hobbit logs from Love Logs. They were neatly packed, not at all dusty, and they burn well. The broken logs made from compressed sawdust are also very good, not as dirty as I expected, and they burn with a lot of enthusiasm. The firelighters are a little heavy, so they sink to bottom of the kindling if you don't make the fire up with care. I soon got used to this and now the fire starts easily. The ordering was easy and the delivery efficient. My only slight quibble is that maybe 30kg is a little heavy for the delivery guy. Airport baggage handlers have cut down from 32 kg to 23 kg. I think he was a bit shocked by the weight, considering that most of what he delivers is just light clothing.”

We're glad you were happy with the products and the ordering process 😍 Regarding the DPD driver, DPD charge us 'per parcel' so in order to maximise the amount we get for the shipping rate and therefore keep costs as low as possible, we do try and pack the boxes to as close to 30kg as possible. The drivers are all trained in how to safely lift and carry the 30kg, and they will be handling lots of heavier parcels at the depot each week. Thanks Heather and Paul 💚

“Excellent firelighters. I wouldn't buy from anywhere else. Fast delivery too. Sorry I don't know who delivered so I've ticked courier. My only suggestion would be thst you increase your box size to 250 so we would get free delivery as that would be sufficient to see most people through the winter and they wouldn't have to store the remainder until the following year.”

Hello, thanks for your review. Please reach out to us directly and we're happy to rectify any issues. Our producer recently achieved less than 14% moisture content on their Woodsure testing programme and all wood is batch-tested for moisture, so I would be very surprised if the logs were damp but we are always happy to help.
