Having an annual NHS HBA1C blood test is really no help in adjusting your eating habits to improve your numbers, you cannot buy a home machine that gives you the same numbers. “Last few months I been having some health issues. Unfortunately, my GP wasn't interested in investigating what is happening. End up changing GP, but due to long waiting list to see GP, I couldn't get an appointment. I was desperate to figure out what was happening. I found LHC home test kits on amazon, and oh boy finally got some answers. The test kits are affordable and easy to use as long as you follow the instructions. Results are delivered very quick, first one went to my Spam folder so be sure to check that. One of my test(Thyroid) was taking longer but when I emailed LHC Ash replied within minutes, explained everything, tracked the test and send me the results. “Good service right through out. Only problem I had was while filling out the sample registration form- the date of birth tab can be tiring. It only goes back one month at a time from present, no way to input directly. It takes a while to go back 50-odd years month by month.”

“Filled my blood sample to the lines indicated, but on the results it claimed I didn’t, so didn’t test all biomarkers. 3/4 biomarkers that were able to be tested came outside of normal range but there was no where clearly indicated that could help me find out more information, only a message saying to speak to my GP. There was also limited guidance for how to prep for the blood test.
Because of how anxious I was about the results of this blood tests, I ended up doing another blood test with another company that specified particular measures I needed to take before (like ideally do it first thing in the morning and drink 2-3 cups of water an hour before) - which led to my blood results coming back primarily normal, and has led me to doubt the validity of the London Health company results.
The turn around time was fairly quick. I sent the results on Thursday and got the results by Sunday. The instruction leaflet was quite clear and easy to follow. But I wouldn’t use this company again because of the angst the results caused and lack of follow up guidance to help me better understand the results.”
