“Very poor safety checks on businesses. I have used Local Surveyor Direct to find an architect for a single storey extention. I have contacted one Victoria Browne which turned out to be a fraud. Paid her first installment and never heard back from her. Local Surveyors Direct confirmed that they have previously had complaints on this person so they have taken her off the site. She is still showing under different address!”

“Did what it said on the tin: Provided a list of local surveyors for the required service (EPC) Provided estimated price and also location of the surveyor All surveyors responded quickly either by 'phone or email Survey still to be conducted so this review applies only to the service provided by the website.”

“I received 2 replies from the 5 companies contacted. The response rate was a little disappointing but overall the responses that I received were very useful. I choose to use Neil McKay, Chartered Surveyor.”

“I used Local Surveyors Direct to find assistance with a householder planning application. Several of the companies that were listed claimed to be local, but with no evidence of applications in my locality and addresse far away. Others were active locally and may be acceptable.”

“On the brink of putting my house on the market I realised that an EPC would be required. Wanting to use a local surveyor I began searching online & was initially faced with a massive number of results. Some were clearly not local while others I could not readily be assured as local. My heart sank as I began to feel this task was going to take far longer than I had anticipated. Then I spotted “Local Surveyors Direct”! A couple more clicks brought up a list of genuinely local surveyors listing their prices plus customer reviews. Exactly what I needed! Very soon I’d made my choice, opting for a local firm with fair pricing and excellent reviews. This proved to be a great choice: an appointment made within half an hour, survey undertaken the following day then within another 24 hours my certification was registered with my copy printed.”
