“Sorry JJ, I was disappointed. We need a surveyor because of a dispute with a solar panel firm. Longer story but the nub here is I need a surveyors opinion of the roof and structure. All the people I heard from (and others) simply quoted for a home buyers survey, not for a specific defect - or not as the case may be.”

“Simple process to get in quotes from multiple surveyors. Best to wait for confirmed email quotes to come in from the surveying companies for a day or two before deciding on best choice (price/locality). All were quoting for same RICs survey type so have to assume all will work to similar professional standard.”

“The prices quoted were good, however, when individual surveyors contacted me their prices jumped up in many cases by 50% plus. This meant that I had to carry on speaking to each individual company to compare different prices, which was rather frustrating as I had thought that was the purpose of the comparison site!! I did eventually hire the services of one surveyor who price matched the comparison site”

“My first use resulted in a lot of phone calls, which I didn't want and a number of email proposals when I did. When I tried to commission a survey one did not reply and I received an email from the other saying that they had gone into administration. I am currently trying again.”
