“My 92 year old mother's electricity had gone off. I was able to find an electrician very easily using Local Surveyors Direct on my phone, and an electrician was there in an hour to fix the problem. Very satisfied and would use them again.”

“I found this site very useful and extremely quick to respond. I had a number of responses to my job request within minutes..!!! Perhaps it was just the job (electrical certification) but so far I'm impressed. Already engaged a company to complete the work. Seems pretty good to me.”

“While it was great to get some information from this website, the amount of harassment I got through continuous calls was unbearable. I should not have had to leave a phone number. Would recommend independent research to avoid this.”

I am really sorry to hear that you received unwanted phone calls after using our website. We do give the option to not provide a phone number if you would rather not be contacted that way. Instead of entering your phone number you can enter 0000 instead - and then our Members know that you don't want to be called. We will have a look at our website and make sure this information is displayed prominently so that all our Customers can make informed decisions.

“While I can see the value of this service, I was overwhelmed by emails, phone calls, voicemails and even text messages within seconds of requesting the comparison. Buying a property can be stressful and I found this hard-sell to be a bit much, on top of everything else. One email from LSD summarising the best options available would be preferable. Having said that, I did choose a surveyor based on the recommendations that came from LSD. So in that respect, it was a useful website. If I were to recommend it to a friend I would warn them to turn off their phone and then go back through all the quotes in their own time.”
