“I am so glad that I had a survey done. The house that I was interested in buying was a 1930s semi. After the viewing I was expecting to decorate upstairs and put in a new bathroom and do a lot of work in the garden. However, the surveyor found some serious problems which I would not have known about otherwise. There were signs of cavity wall tie failure. There was woodworm upstairs and downstairs. There was damp on the ground floor. The chimney breast had been taken out in the dining room but not in the bedroom above. The disused chimneys were not ventilated. The roof needed attention. There was a lot more information in the detailed report, and it was clear to me that I was no longer looking at some cosmetic work. Major structural remedial work was required. This report undoubtedly saved me thousands of pounds.”

“I went onto your site to look at what was available in my area. Not for you to give my contact details to various suppliers, who have been contacting me without my consent. I will never use your site again. I found the whole experience intrusive. You need a better set of terms that make it very clear what you are doing and better yet give me the option not to share my data if I'm just researching/not ready to talk to your members.”
