“I was inundated constantly from the very second I clicked for quotes. Tons of phonecalls, texts emails. Extremely frustrating and not clear that this would happen. I was actually hoping to contact just one of the suppliers not loads.”

“I received a prompt reply. However, the listed company or individual don't feature in The Institution of Structural Engineers listing. Out of 5 listings, I found only two individuals are members but none of these two has up-to-date CPD over the last 3-4 years. It is important that any listing you forward you need to check that they are qualified and part of a recognised professional organisation. Anyone can put the title MEng. or CEng next to their names and advertise their services.”

“It can be a minefield trying to find the right professional in an area you are not familiar with so I thought I would try Local Surveyors Direct. “Although the response was provided with possible assessors with which I made contact with one who did not respond until a week later but sent me a text to say he was running late. I did not make any booking. After confirming a time/date address then failed to show.”

“Paul Moran contacted me almost immediately after I made an enquiry for an EPC. Made an appointment and was round within a day at a time convenient for both of us. He was very approachable, respectful and explained anything I wanted to know. Didn’t take long at all - job done!”
