I found the Valuer very efficient and willing to speak to me before and after the survey was carried out. The Valuer said he was happy for me to contact him with any further queries at a later point. The report was issued within a couple of days, initially by e-mail and included photographs of relevant areas. Very Good Service in my opinion.

My request was promptly dealt with and Alan Rudd the surveyor completed a full and very helpful Home Buyers survey of the property we were interested in, highlighting for us particular aspects to look at in more detail, such as roof condition and any environmental issues Those features of the house that needed us to focus on have also been most useful for our solicitor in contact with the seller's legal representative - checks, inspections, and safety reports which should have been carried out recently His report has also assisted us in deciding the right figure to offer in any purchase, a figure which we have now agreed on with the seller. Awaiting results from a building survey which was carried out on 15th February. Today is 17th March, still no survey report sent, despite contacting surveyor on many occasions via email and phone (paid upfront for survey). Doesn't fill me with a huge amount of confidence at present with reliability of surveyor.

I received excellent support from Philip Carruthers not only with the Report but in a number of subsequent communications on issues stemming from his Survey. I enjoyed talking to him and would readily commission him again if the need arises

None of the surveyors were suitable or could do the job asked, one then harassed me for further work

I decided to pay extra for a full survey rather than just a valuation. The report arrived a week after the survey. Most of it was generic stuff you can look up yourself. The surveyor was wrong about the age of the house by 20 years, resulting in me spending almost £200 on a further red ash survey specific to younger houses. He stated that there was damp in the walls and probably rising damp. Another £125 for a damp and timber surveyor to find there was no damp at all. Possible movement potentially caused by leaking drains led to a £165 drain survey which showed the drains were new and without leaks. I referred the damp and drain surveys back to the surveyor as requested and asked what to do next. By then I had little doubt that I would be advised to have another survey regarding the movement. No reply. Instead I used the negative survey to negotiate a lower price which paid for all my surveys and a decent builder to advise what work actually needed doing. So there was one positive and for that the surveyor gets 2 stars instead of one. My advice would be to inspect the house with a torch and ladder and get your own specific surveys for any concerns you have. An initial survey like this seems to be an exercise in ass covering and with little or no useful information above what you can find on the internet. Spend your money elsewhere.

we considered your surveyors put forward and ended up using The Harrower Partnership to carry out the survey. I was impressed after speaking to Sarah and efficient way it was carried out at the time we requested. although there was a slight delay in obtaining the report it did not interfere with with our decision whether to purchase the property. we received a very detailed report and overall was completely satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend the company and service provided.

I don't usually respond to these requests but because I was so pleased with the professional way in which my SURVEYOR Mr Rod Searling conducted his survey of a bungalow I was interested in and considering I was in the building trade myself I was given a thorough and informative report. We paid in a timely fashion. The survey was initially promised 5-7 working days from being undertaken. I initiated every conversation in order to obtain the survey. In the end we received the survey after 10 working days & we had requested a credit of the payment due to no information coming from the surveyors & constant promise dates not coming true. Shame.

Thanking you for your speedy response unfortunately it was taken out of our hands as we have a lifetime mortgage with AVIVA Equity Release and they took charge of both the assessment of our bungalow for sale & our bungalow for purchase.No doubt they will have used local surveyors to both areas & we found them to be excellent(very efficient). The surveyor used by our purchasers was too quick for my likings & we found their Solicitor was asking us to confirm many items he should have found.
