“The Surveyors that I called that were listed didn't do Structural reports which what was required even though they were registered with the correct body. so was not really any help. However, they were polite and advised onwards.”

“I received 3 responses, but unfortunately 1 was too busy, and the other McAndrew Martin would not even return my calls. However I did use Bernhardt Assoc in Bognor, who gave excellent service.”

“I live in London and my daughter was proposing to buy a house in York, a city where neither of us knew anybody. How should we set about finding a RICS Surveyor in York? And then I stumbled across this excellent website. It was very easy to use and we quickly ended up contacting several seemingly-excellent people whose offices were close to the house my daughter was interested in. All came highly recommended and most priced their services pretty sensibly. We settled on one and he called us immediately after completing his survey to discuss his preliminary findings and followed this up with his written report a very short while later. If I was awarding him stars personally, he would get the maximum allowed. And I'd award the same high score to the Database which identified him (and other likely contenders) to us.”

“The service was good and reasonably priced but I struggled to call the surveyor for follow-up questions so make sure you pre-empt all questions in good time and agree a time to discuss. Otherwise, pretty good.”

“I contacted mason wright associates, to carry out a home buyers report on a property we are purchasing. I found the service to be very professional an Graeme who carry out the survey, helped in highlighting problems with the property that needed to raised before committing to the sale. Would recommend Mason Wright Associates and would happily use his service again.”

“Got address and age of property wrong. Really didn't do much - I could see everything he said - e.g. electrics need updating get an electrician in. ....... Communication very slow still hasn't answered one of my questions.”

“The arranging of the surveyor and the quick responses were fantastic We received an email with the report which caused a great deal of upset. We are a married gay couple and the report was written to Mr X & Mr Y. However the email was addressed to Mr & Mrs X. I was outraged. It is hard enough living as a gay couple at times, without somebody not checking facts before sending an email. Due to this fact I will never use this company again or recommend them to anybody else.”

“Potentially a helpful service, but I found the follow-ups very zealous and intrusive, almost hounding. Within about 2 seconds of submitting my request I got a call asking me if I'd looked at the quote and trying to persuade me to book, and within about 15 minutes I started getting hectored by several others by email and phone, none of whom were local. So did not end up using someone from the site”
